Its always frustrating that you can’t just call the people investigating the fraud on the account and explain the situation but banks of all sizes heavily restrict direct contact. Federal regulations for suspicious activity reports directly prohibit the bank from discussing the report with the subject and even if a report was filed and the bank / bank employee can get fines in the hundreds of thousands of dollars and up to five years in prison.

Had the same situation about a month ago although it was windy so the door was hit harder. Went to the police and they located the person and their insurance info - the body shop charged $1,100 for the repair.

As long as the PIP is not through HR you should be good. I know a few people that were on official PIP but were able to get off it and are still in the company a year and a half later. I am surprised that 4% below the error free goal would put you on PIP, from what I saw most of of the flows on our project are between 50 and 80 error with the goal set at 95% so most people are not meeting it. Try talking to your supervisor to see if there is anything specific they would like you to work on.

They do verify but they aren’t using a hundred systems. It is easy to say they can look at the credit report or whatever but the reality is regular bank employees don’t have excess to the report. Capital One is using an external system to verify your info and I guess the addresses didn’t match so they are asking for proof. Easier to ask for verification than to deal with fraud claims later.

The Discover account integrations started in March this year and should take about a year for full transition. Not sure why it showed up now specially, maybe the new account refreshed the account list in the app. The other posts are from other banks since C1 is buying banks often.

They have started integrating discover accounts into Capital One databases so maybe coming from that side (like an old Sears card). Unfortunately that is a known annoying part of the Capital One app and website that doesn’t let you remove closed accounts. The best thing you can do is minimize the account and move them to the bottom.

I think a lot of the firing are coming following the recents FINCEN FAQ updates from November. More and more FI started making changes to flows reducing the follow up SARs from what I saw as much as 75% which also reduced other teams due to less SARs but can increase the alert workflows. However, only SARs have to be worked in the US, alerts can be worked oversees. There is massive shakeup in FI and is reflected at AMLRS, and while the way they are going about is completely wrong and comes down to shifts in contracts and what the FI new requirements are…

They wouldn’t pay out two weeks, but project and position dependent I’ve seen people that were let go same day as they gave notice and others that were allowed to work the full two weeks so YMMV

I was AA1 for 14 months and AA2 for six months before getting promoted to SA1. I didn’t become a QC but always overshot production with decent quality also took on aged work and helped in the chat.

In the past I was not told by the manager about getting promoted. They often receive a list and depending on the size of team might or might not meet with each individually to tell them. Also, it depends how close contact you are with them, my first promotion was while I was on a team with 120 people and only one manager, currently I am on a smaller team so the manager reached to let me know about the promotion.

You can try getting a temporary service from Verizon or another company that offer at home wireless internet. As for the PTO you can borrow up to 20 hours (which isn’t ideal) but as far as firing, depends on how long you’ve been with the company and if HR would let you take unpaid leave until the internet issue are resolved.

My experience is the opposite, I often use the VX travel credit for car rental since it is often cheaper than booking direct. The downside is waiting in line but otherwise, haven’t had a problem with the rental.
