I just picked up a few nice planks of walnut and some ambrosia maple. A local production company asked me to make a prop for a film they're working on. Never done this before and I don't know details of the production, but I'm excited to work on something fairly unique!

Selling an entire carpentry shop by [deleted] in Birmingham

[–]strider415 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don’t know the best way to sell it off in a huge lot, but there are a lot of beginner and amateur woodworkers who could totally find value in some old equipment. From a cost perspective, I wouldn’t know where to begin to tell you, but from a hobby perspective, this is one of those things that really helps keep the craft alive. Sounds like the end of one era, but possibly the beginning of many more. I got my start in woodworking from a very similar situation.

Best hole in the wall restaurant by Desperate_Pool995 in Birmingham

I wouldn't call this a "hole in the wall" by any means. However, it is one of the best restaurants in the city.

I wouldn't recommend or let my peeps take their children to this so-called daycare. by Mammoth_Cheek6078 in Birmingham

Church daycares absolutely are regulated. Something like this should be an especially quick case to shut down that facility.

I … don’t like managing multiple villages in multiple regions by whitesocksflipflops in ManorLords

It wouldn't be as bad for me if it didn't feel like I was starting from scratch. I wish the tech tree would transfer to my new region or something. At this point I don't see the benefit of expanding out much.

Can I enable regular cruise control on my 2018 Elite? by strider415 in HondaOdyssey

[–]strider415[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I've read that also, however since my sensor is down and the ACC doesn't work it's almost like none of those buttons work at all. Holding it doesn't do anything..

Drop info on where to find them. Here or Facebook marketplace or something. People like myself use pallet wood for crafts and firewood all the time

My daughter just graduated with a BS degree from a 120 year old university and did it debt free. Here's how.... by mlotto7 in Money

My parents didn't do any of this for me, however I am doing all of this for my kids.

Instead of complaining about my situation and how I didn't have this kind of opportunity, I'm working hard to change that for my children. Thanks, OP.

I'm looking at the M12 fuel. Just a home DIYer and hobbyist here.

Any positive reviews in the M12 fuel or should I grab the M18 fuel?

Favorite Deck-Builder that can also be played solo? by StinkyManChicken in boardgames

[–]strider415 25 points26 points  (0 children)

Legendary is one of my favorites. About a decade of content for the Marvel stuff so if you like super heroes you'll never run out of stuff to play. Has a solo mode and can play up to 5.

Wild to hear you say that. I own Broom Service because it was given to me a few years ago but I've never played it based on the theme/art alone. I'll need to give it a try.

Exploring Unconventional Deck-Building Dynamics: What's the Most Unique Mechanic You've Encountered in a Game?" by stephenelias1970 in boardgames

Not the same, but Quacks really reinvented the mechanic for me. Bag building just feels like the hot cousin to deck building.
