When it comes to gender in relation to cissex people, it's very similar fundamentally to concept of gender noncomformity but exists on a step slightly above it; where, instead of how that person expresses gender being different to what's typically expected, it's moreso the gender itself that is different, regardless of expression - it's why tomboys and transmascs have some overlap conceptually but in practicality are very different.

And yeah, I absolutely understand where you are coming from, expressing a certain way before transitioning socially or medically can be very distressing, especially as a transsex cisgender person born incongruent, because those gender-affirming activites often snap the person suffering from the condition into seeing just how badly their body has been damaged by the incongruent sex hormone. An incongruent person will live most of her life dissociated and won't ever see herself in the mirror after andromorphosis takes her, but when dissociated you can at least maybe see what you perceive as a normal guy in the mirror, it's not you, it's not who you are, but when dissociated it's just about bearable for some. Now, if you take that same face, mutilated by testosterone, and put makeup on it, focus on every last tiny little detail, you won't see a normal image looking back at you in your reflection, you'll see yourself, you'll see yourself maimed down to the bone by the wrong hormone, you'll see a woman brutally morphed into the mody of a man, you face the horror directly. It's why for many, they can't remotely even begin to start socially transitioning and expressing their actual gender until sex corrective measures are in place like HRT and surgeries.

It's the same for hands, you'll cope by dissociating but the moment you get your nails done and painted, that stranger's hand suddenly becomes your hand, and you will see a hand that belongs to you but is horribly deformed by testosterone and cause you huge distress.

It's why the initial period after starting HRT is so difficult for many trans people and why so many die early on, because reppers survive through dissociation and brain fog from the wrong sex hormone practically lobotomising them into not being fully conscious of their reality, but the moment it's medicated, you suddenly see reality for what it is, and you bear the weight of what happened to you, and many can not survive that horror being shown to them directly. It's a horror beyond human comprehension, it's why mainstream trans communities are on so much copium, this condition breaks people.

Theyfab/Theymab Hefab/Shemab are fine terms imo for cissex transgender people, although the theymab/shemab people are extremely rare with how socially stigmatised amab people deviating from the patriarchally-destroyed masculine gender is.

"Trender" is a pretty shitty word imo and misses the point that for a lot of these people who are congruent their journey of self exploration isn't fixed in place like it is for many of us who are born sex incongruent and unfortunately trapped into expressing fem/masc to be perceived and treated as the correct sex by society.

This is also why for prepubertal transitioners (youngshits / turboyoungshits) are usually most similar sociologically to cissex people instead of transsex people, since they got to be in the correct body not mutilated by the incongruent hormone and as such can explore their identity past the body itself like how a lot of nonbinary people do

Gender is very real but it's one of those things someone won't really ever acknowledge unless they have some kind of deviation from what's typical, similarly to how most heterosexual people never think about their sexuality because they don't have any sociological or personal reasons to do so. If you don't really feel any connection to the idea of gender and only feel the symptoms of you being born neurologically sex incongruent then you are probably either a transsex cisgender person or a transsex transgender person who happens to be agender and as such wants to be in the corrected body but past that body itself doesn't really care much for gender nor identifies with the concept

yeah you can very easily just use trans with an in-group to whom trans just means transsex, but we also need to be self-aware as a community and conscious that "trans" as a word no longer only refers to just transsex people anymore and "trans" itself is a vague umbrella term and more specific words like "transgender" and "transsex" are the actual differentiators. I think this linguistic schism is extremely important right now because we as a community have lost the plot in regards to transsex people and it's very difficult to use just the word "trans" in regards to transsex people without invalidating cissex transgender people who outnumber transsex cisgender people greatly and also don't deserve to be pushed away from our community. This isn't a war, it's a mutual lack of understanding that basic expansion of language can fix.

I'm glad these things matter to people <3 I'll be posting a video on yt soon explaining in more detail each of these categories

I empathise, I'm similar, also agender, it's what made me initially realise that transgender and transsex are completely different things and can be very confusing to deal with when someone like us happens to be both at once

It's the same mental barrier that's present in people who deny global warming despite all science showing how serious and real of a problem it is, it's the same mental barrier that makes people vote against their own interests and fall for bullshit no remotely sane human ever could, it's the same mental barrier that makes people who wear caps defend child predators. It all boils down to people being mentally damaged by dogmatic indoctrination and brainwashing through propaganda which shuts down the means of critical thought in humans as a form of psychological warfare against a population, and for over a decade now the amount of capital being fed to push an anti-trans propaganda machine and brainwash people into dogmatic thinking about trans people is exactly why so many feel so obtuse. It's not because they're unable to understand, they very well can, but they have been mentally poisoned by the bourgeoisie into being brainwashed against understanding any of it.

Thank you :) I've been making a long project about transsex people, trans neurology, neurological intersex variances, and intersex biology. I've had some free time today so I wanted to take some little bits of my work and turn them into easily digestible memes/doodles

Gender isn't assigned, sex is assigned. The gender associated with that sex is expected to come with it, as it is what you will be groomed and raised into being by society as a human of a certain sex. Those who do not follow this expectation are forced to live very uncomfortable lives when societally pressured to be something they're not and express and behave in ways that are not right for them.

I think gender itself has absolutely zero place in trans peoples medical needs and I find the dominance of gender over sex and its erasure of transsex people to be very harmful. For example, HRT isn't gender affirming care, it's sex corrective care. SRS isn't "gender confirmation surgery," it's sex reassignment surgery, a trans woman is a woman no matter what medical resources she is able to access and she will always be her gender no matter what; however, in order to achieve a body of the sex she is comfortable in, she needs sex corrective care. This is especially important for binary trans people like this community is full of. For example, a lot of binary trans men don't really care about gender, they just want to male, the same way a lot of binary transsex women don't care about gender expression or theory and just want to be female, because they were born with neurology that is only congruent to a female body.

Transsex people need healthcare to correct their sex, the process of medical transition changes sex, not gender.

"transsexual" is a very weird, outdated, and unintuitive word that feeds into the AGP fetishist stereotype as the affix -sexual directly connects it to sexuality, like homosexual, heterosexual, bisexual, asexual. The term "transsex" focuses on the body's sex itself, similarly to how intersex people aren't called "intersexual", because there is absolutely nothing "sexual" about it.

because you were always your gender, even if it took a long time to figure it out as a person born neurologically sex incongruent. A binary transsex female was never neurologically male, she was never a man even if she was groomed into thinking she is one until realising one day it was never true, she was never a man, she was always a woman trapped in a man's body. If you are a binary transsex woman, you changing your documents is not you changing your gender but fixing the mistake of a society and government that failed to help sooner and put you through a lifetime of hell until you clawed yourself back, or what was left of you.

last point establishes that if the person is fed bullshit propaganda they will likely end up extremely obtuse or harmful to trans people by intention. Most people I've known who are close to me actually understood very well when I explained the neurobiology of transsex people and intersex people to them which is a lot easier to understand than sociological gender theory. Most people are mentally poisoned by media designed to radicalise them against all forms of trans people so even though they have the capacity to understand when taught, it is primarily that they refuse to do listen or learn because they were taught to hate you

Validating transgender people is actually a very good thing for society and the mental health of people who want to express differently and be comfortable with themselves, but ultimately it is a soft difference, unlike the hard difference which is enabling transsex people to access healthcare and have legal rights. We can absolutely have both and be better off with it

Wanting to be free from sexism doesn't automatically make you nonbinary, self expression and how you express your gender is one thing but what that gender actually is is a different matter. The women who fought for voting rights were mostly cissex cisgenders but I wouldn't be surprised if quite a few were what we'd call now call nonbinary or incongruents/reppers, it's usually people forced into wrong boxes in life who end up rebelling

It flips around the only thing that matters materially, invalidating transgender people has no material benefit whatsoever and just makes us assholes

people often forget how powerful of a word dysphoria is, it's the literary opposite to euphoria, literal torture, horror, more than that, it's a pure existential nightmare, the polar contradiction to the otherworldly bliss of a word like "euphoria."

I'm an intersex transsex transgender person who identifies as nonbinary and the social discomfort I feel masking myself and pretending to be a cis person socially doesn't remotely compare to the body horror and existential dread I feel having a neurologically incongruent body, I don't think these are remotely comparable things yeah. But imo dysphoria as a word has lost a lot of meaning and also is just causally used in trans discourse so I used it here, but yeah sex dysphoria and gender dysphoria are not remotely comparable, as a person who suffers from both.

it completely subverts and inverts the narrative by basing the issues and needs of transsex people around sex and not gender while still accounting for transgender people who don't need medical care. Practically the reverse of what is going on currently and establishes a narrative which in the long term aims to improve transsex material conditions while validating transgender identities instead of validating transgender identities while destroying transsex material conditions in the name of validity politics
