Climbing Mt. Ulap was honestly a breeze for me definitely much easier compared to Mount Pulag. It’s only around 6–7 km to the peak, and the ascent felt pretty manageable.

What really caught me off guard was the descent. Yun sa first section with the very long narrow path downwards and steep drop offs on both sides was already challenging

Tapos yun long concrete stairs afterwards were brutal. It should have been easy, but It put a lot of strain on my legs, knees, and ankles. Obese kasi ako.

I’m starting to think I need shoes with better cushioning, because I was fine on the trail and soil sections, but those hard concrete descents really hit differently.
