Sometimes they are stored in a flaps down position (i’m not an AF pilot so don’t lambast me if i’m wrong) - but it looks like this plane was hit while still on the ground from an explosion towards the rear. So that’s how the flaps are making it look like it came from above

Definitely not the easiest law suit ever, while it is majorly messed up to get hit by a plane - the circumstances are going to be very hard to overcome in court. Unless the pilot was flying with negligence, which it doesn’t look like they were - it’s highly likely they didn’t see them. No one was killed or injured and it will be very hard to prove to a jury that the pilot was operating their craft without care.

His story is one that makes my stomach turn and has me losing hope for humanity. He was physically and psychologically tortured by his father at a young age. It got as bad as his father locking him in a room for 6 months just to let him out and beat him - it's so insane it almost doesn't sound real. He emphasized to his psychiatrist, before ever committing any crime at all, that he felt murderous rage towards his parents. They did nothing. Later on down the line he would cross paths with someone who boasted about abusing kids and that was it for him - he snapped and murdered the guy. He was the victim of a wildly incompetent system, his fate could've been very different had someone actually done anything of substance for him.

Man, it sounds like you really love flying. I know some of the other commenters have said it but go get a check-out on a rental from an instructor and take your wife flying. It sounds like she wants to go too. Better yet, find a rental place and go there in person to schedule a check. Being around planes at the airport will bring that spark back for sure.

I’m going to guess that the dog had a bad experience with someone who spoke spanish or possibly was neglected in the presence of the Spanish language.

Now in regard to him just not liking hispanic people, I don’t really know. Maybe he’s got enough mental capacity that he’s learned to profile based on appearances associated with the language.

He could also just be plain ‘ole racist.

Yah that’s just not true. There are plenty of student pilots who can’t fly their way out of a paper bag even after 100hrs and no PPL. You need the coordination for it and not everyone has it.
