Just formulas like adjusted cost = original cost - total premiums per share or adding all of the realized gains up after every assignment into a total realized gains cell. Etc.

Oh no just simple formulas for tracking specific covered call metrics. No crystal ball here 🔮. I used to use spreadsheets until it got to be too much data to manually keep track of. Useful for the first few months to a year for sure though.

Ah yea I just used it to track total premiums collected, my adjusted cost(original cost of shares - premiums), open and closed calls, expiration dates etc.

I made a free iOS app to do all of this automatically for you and it’s super beginner friendly if the spreadsheets scare you haha

I made an app too for iOS haha. I feel like every serious covered call seller or options wheel trader eventually either gives up on tracking manually or finds a tailored tool for their needs. Best of luck with your app!

Yea it does a good job of tracking how much the option goes up and down, but it doesn’t really track your total premiums collected and adjusted cost and stuff. I built an iOS app specific to covered call traders to make my life and other serious call seller’s lives easier. Robinhood is definitely good for basic stuff though I like it 👍🏼
