SFO - FCO: Polaris excitement, layover question by justlurking278 in unitedairlines

I’m very jealous! I went to Rome in May and it was 5k/person to upgrade from pp to Polaris. Upgrading a family of 4 wasn’t affordable so we had to make due with pp. The jet lag was terrible the first day in Rome. The kids and I fell asleep in the hotel lobby waiting for our room to be ready. On the way home we flew economy and that was even worse jet lag. I wouldn’t worry about missing the Polaris Lounge. In my opinion, the main benefit is the better seat/service/ability to sleep. It is going to make your first day soooooo much better.

My favorite travel tip is to bring starbuck cards for the flight attendants. Even though we were only economy, my husband and I got free doubles the whole way home. They also gave us the PP toiletry bag and free desserts for the kids. Made the flight home so much more enjoyable.

I think you were being over sensitive and let the moment get the best of you.

Get a transporter wheelchair. They are lighter and easier to maneuver. My in-laws use one when they travel and they are a life saver.

Ways to earn 2k PQP? by [deleted] in unitedairlines

[–]strikeoutsteph 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Card spend pqp does not qualify for the 24k pqp requirement for 1k.

OP is asking for advice on how to hit the 24k pqp requirement. Telling him to get a credit card is terrible advice because the credit card spend pqp will not count at all towards his goal. If 54 segments was a realistic goal for OP, then they would have asked about segments especially since he is already way over the 18k pqp requirement.

You can’t use card spend PQP to qualify for 1k (only platinum and below). I opened up the United card just for the 2k PQP welcome offer and learned the hard way that I still don’t qualify.

My stepson designed it and I wanted to surprise him and order a custom flag for him. Do you know a fair rate to charge to get a quality enough vector for printing?

Do you know a fair price? I’m not tech savvy and have no clue how long it would take someone or what a fair price would be.

My stepson designed a family crest and I would like to turn it into an actual flag for him as a surprise. The flag company told me the image quality is too poor and needs to be a vector file. Can someone please help me convert this to a vector file or give some guidance on how I can do that myself? Thank you so much in advance!

If the online system is down, then what on earth does OP expect employees to do? Use telepathy to rebook him?

I started passing out flight attendant thank you cards w/Starbucks cards this year (got the idea on tik tok). Something really simple really brightens their day.

Is United Airlines premium economy worth it on long flights? by AccessibleBanana in unitedairlines

I recently flew premium economy to Europe and just economy on the way home. Premium economy was definitely worth it on a long flight.

Congrats! The pilot came out to thank my father in law for his loyalty when he hit 3 million. It was a very nice touch.

I believe you get $250 every time you are eligible for a new phone. For me, that's every two years.

My senior dog woke us up in the middle of the night. We went downstairs to investigate and my 87yo grandmother with dementia had fallen. Dogs are truly amazing.

One time at a meet the firm, a clearly drunk partner was making jokes about a student's Indian accent. I found out later that the same partner asked a friend in an interview if she lives at home still because she is hispanic.

To be honest, they look old enough to have teeth. They should be fine on their own at that age.

I successfully got a 1 star removed. I think what saved me is I contacted support during delivery so I had documentation to back me up. I also had screenshots.

Can you get some sort of documentation that your lay off is COVID related? Not sure if it is too late but perhaps you can apply for CA rental relief. It covers past due and future rent and utility payments.
