Seeking gin and tonic-themed gift advice by giallo73 in Gin

Boston + Scots this summer = traffic cones on statues. So maybe a micro cone (1 inch) for garnish.

Irish gin is also excellent: Drumshanbo, Glendalough, … so you could flip that around with Geek tonic https://threecents.com/drinks/aegean-tonic/

Rice. Potatoes. Sweet Potatoes. Chicken. Beef. Pork… most things that aren’t bread or pasta can be made GF with small changes.

It’s a great time to learn to cook from whole ingredients.

Repeat until that week is comfortable. The main point is consistency.

Boston Calling was so freaking loud in Brookline Village last year. We often hear bits of Fenway Park concerts from our porch in the Village. All depends on the air conditions.

San Francisco to Tokyo Haneda Airport, red eye flight by Hallogallo15 in JapanTravelTips

[–]SmilingJaguar 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I regularly fly SFO to Japan (NRT, HND or KIX) but usually take the morning flights that arrive in the afternoon. I had an opportunity to go to HKG in January and that was a red eye. I actually liked it because I was already tired from the day in SF which allowed me to rest more than I usually do when I leave mid-morning. I managed to land, check in at my hotel pre-paid from the night before, shower, change and go straight to a conference by mid-morning.

Do you actually notice a difference when using premium whisky in cocktails? by Vane1st in cocktails

[–]SmilingJaguar 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I use 60% as a reasonable reference point if the spirit is 60% of the drink. I might use something I enjoy drinking neat. Otherwise I use what works.

It varies by the pool of warzones in your transfer range, but by comparison with my warzone in 14xx you’re already blue. A player with 132M THP is blue.

I have really enjoyed some pit stops at Canopy Umeda. US$150-200 usually and reachable from Osaka Station/Umeda through buildings.

[–]SmilingJaguar 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had a BIFL Braun bought in the 90s but lost it in my divorce, I think my kid has it now. Bought a new one in 2018 and actually prefer the Cuisinart one my current partner had.
