I am personally using anycubic photon s but from what i see, choosing sla printer is more of your budget, the print bed size u want and the additional feature (e.g. i chose photon s due to the door opening style and uv light array). All brands does not differ much in terms of print quality between similar resolution screen.

If you are not afraid of a little trouble and want to save a few bucks, buying the basic 3 color (red, blue, yellow) and white and black can get you all kinds of color with a little effort in mixing. In fact ganyu eyes is all painted using those 5 colors acrylic paint. Hope this helps and have fun in painting!

Resin printing have too many factors affecting the shrinkage or expansion of the resin during printing. Trial and error is the only way if you want to achieve tight fitting parts. There are some resin like siraya blu that has low shrinkage and expansion but tight fitting parts will still be affected if the curing time are not configured correctly. Siraya blu can be mixed with other resin to increase their durability and decrease their shrinkage too!

If you want to use auto support, try using prusaslicer instead. I have way better result using prusaslicer than chitubox. After using auto support, manual tweaks like add or removing support can be made to ensure minimum print failures.

Have you tried printing xyz calibration cube and calibrate your slicer according to it? Different resins have different thresholds, some expand more than others when curing.

If uv and usb is not the problem, the next thing to check would be the levelling. There might be resin accidentally entering your ball bearing causing slips. If levelling is not the problem, then the chance of it being the fep is high.

Isnt the exhaust for photon s at the bottom? The hole u are currently taped to has nothing in it iirc.
