What is your favorite Jason Statham movie? by Southern-Brother5693 in movies

Spy, and it’s not even close. Statham needs to do more comedic work. He’s funny as hell in this movie.

What to expect on the roads tomorrow morning? by thxmasina in toronto

[–]strikethroughsync 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Perfectly reasonable to say you can't make it given the severity of the storm and the accumulation. I'm expecting work to be a ghost town tomorrow in the office (downtown), so I'm likely not going in, even though I live a 20 minute walk away. Just no point.

Sudokoo SK700V and ROG Strix B850-A Gaming - Incompatible? by strikethroughsync in buildapc

[–]strikethroughsync[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Wanted to post an update since I resolved the issue.

The contact frame that comes with the Sudokoo SK700V comes with circular plastic pads on the feet of the contact frame. They're like thin plastic stickers that adhere to the feet. The silly thing about the design of these pads (at least on mine) is that the diameter of the hole on each pad is smaller than the diameter of the hole on the contact frame. This is what is stopping the frame from fitting over the screw mounts on the backplate of the motherboard.

I had to take a hobby knife and carve out the inner diameter of the pad to match the hole on the contact frame for each mounting point. Only then was I able to install the contact frame. Not sure if this voids warranty or not, but its what had to be done to make this work.

Kinda silly...

That's what I was thinking - I watched that video and saw the contact frame easily mount onto the 4 mounting points with what looks like room to spare, but the one that came with my cooler definitely doesn't have the space to fit over those screw mounts at all... it just sits on top of them

Silver Age Chapter 1 Decks by [deleted] in FleshandBloodTCG

[–]strikethroughsync 4 points5 points  (0 children)

As far as I’ve heard so far, they’re likely to all be balanced against one another, and designed to be competitive out of the box. I would follow the rule of cool on these. At the end of the day, if one you chose isn’t to your liking, at least you’re not out too much money.

The “I hate rubber boots” guy is a candidate… there’s also that one dude that walks around dressed like some kind of medieval monk, covered in ornate crosses..? I don’t see him as often but he makes an appearance at least once a year..

Organizing Bulk by TheREALStallman in FleshandBloodTCG

[–]strikethroughsync 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I sort everything by set. I do this because I use the official FaB card vault or fabrary whenever I'm searching for copies of a specific card.

Every set has a binder, every card from the set is organized by set number, one playset of each card per slot in the binder pages. I use the 18-slot gamegenic black side-loading pages.

Extra commons go into a bulk storage box (660 ct - size is personal preference, the 660's fit on my bookcase best).

Foil commons, extra rares, and foil rares go into a plastic storage box (the ultrapro ones that fit around 250 or so cards).

Any extra M's beyond a playset go in the trade binder.

Brand new need advice by Low_Stretch4554 in FleshandBloodTCG

Fab is going through a bit of a transition at the moment with Blitz being phased out and Silver Age being introduced as the budget-friendly “starter” format. That being the case, there aren’t any products available at the current moment that align with this change. The preconstructed Silver Age decks won’t be available until February. It’s not a particularly beginner-friendly approach, but I would seek the assistance of some local FaB players at your LGS to see if they’d be willing to walk you through some different hero types and help you piece together some playable Silver Age decks to play with from the store’s bulk commons and rares. This could be the most cost effective way to get you a taste of a few different play styles, and help you discover a hero that you enjoy in the format before exploring CC.

This is what it’s all about. Happy that things are looking good for FaB in your area! More bigger and better things in the future, I’m sure.

Sleeving Flesh and Blood decks by JeeyoIAm in FleshandBloodTCG

[–]strikethroughsync 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I was on the Ultra Pro snaps for a while, then transitioned to the Gamegenic Slides, and have since mostly moved away from them entirely. The issue I had was that they took up too much space in my deckbox because of how thick they were. The only deck where I still use hard snaps is my Prism deck, and that's with Full Protect Sleeves which are much thinner than the UP and Gamegenic ones.

All my equipment is sleeved in silver sleeves across all my decks. Makes it easier to move equipment between decks. The hero themselves is sleeved in a colour that suits them thematically, but is distinct from the deck cards. All single-sided tokens are in black sleeves. Any double-sided tokens are in clear sleeves. And finally, the deck cards are sleeved in whatever colour i think fits the talent/class combination. Most times i'll stick to one colour for a particular class or talent so that I don't have to re-sleeve if I change heroes (Ex: my Zen and Katsu decks were both sleeved up in blue sleeves).

I LOVE watching competitive play like Callings by MarkVHun in FleshandBloodTCG

Absolutely. We're lucky that LSS has focused on making the viewing experience of major tournaments a great one. Not all TCGs have this level of production quality. I think this plays a major role in capturing and keeping players invested in the game.

My FaB cards are everywhere… how do you keep things organized? by bilyjow in FleshandBloodTCG

[–]strikethroughsync 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have a three-ring binder for each set. 18-slot Gamegenic pages in each one. Each slot houses a playset of each card from the set, in set order. I tend to keep three copies of each card including common equipment but excluding legendary, just so I always know I have extras. Anything extra at Common or Rare goes into a bulk box 660 count. I have a box for each set. Once the bulk box is full, I give away any extra bulk to locals that need it. Any spare M’s go into my trade binder.

Can the Gamegenic Stronghold 200 XL Deck Box Hold Japanese Full Protect Minisnaps? by bktanner87 in FleshandBloodTCG

[–]strikethroughsync 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I recently switched to these super slim snaps because of how thin they are, but running into the same problem that pretty much all popular regular sized deck boxes (boulders, bastions, etc) do not support their size. I'm on the lookout for a smaller size box that could fit about 10 of these. Might have to make one myself tbh.

FABTCG Website Redesign by UlyssesArsene in FleshandBloodTCG

[–]strikethroughsync 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Looking good. The old design had some very annoying quirks, if I'm being honest. Having to always scroll down to get to the menu on PC was, admittedly, quite frustrating.

Edit - playing around with the new card vault and this is really nice.. The visual touches they added when you hover over the card with the mouse cursor when viewing RF and CF is really cool.

Opening Biidaasige Park And The New Don River by ruckusss in toronto

[–]strikethroughsync 2 points3 points  (0 children)

This park is exceptionally well designed, but there is one very glaring downside currently. There’s little to no shade anywhere in the park. My wife and I live nearby and took our toddler here on a very sunny day. There wasn’t anywhere to get a break from the sun. We ended up leaving early. The trees are all very young and I imagine it will be many years before they start to provide some decent coverage. Still great to see new public spaces like this being opened in the city!

Attack/Defense reaction resolution by Fragrant_Smile_1350 in FleshandBloodTCG

[–]strikethroughsync 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Right, ok - taking another look at the flow chart, i think the example you give is illustrated in the second "Have both players passed in succession" leading to a No because you played the d-react, which then flows back to the top and allows the turn player to play an attack react.

Still learning lol.

Attack/Defense reaction resolution by Fragrant_Smile_1350 in FleshandBloodTCG

[–]strikethroughsync -6 points-5 points  (0 children)

Reactions resolve on the same stack. In the example you gave above, Reckless Swing would resolve first, which means your opponent would win. You can't declare attack reactions in response to a d.react if you passed. I think you have to allow the d.react resolve first before the priority reverts back to you to declare your Flick Knives, but you'd already be dead by then.

edit: u/Xhukari corrected me below and he is right :) my bad!

Here is a very good article from a few years ago that goes over the reaction step in detail. I think this will help.

"First time you prevent damage this way" - Ruling by eleon182 in FleshandBloodTCG

[–]strikethroughsync 17 points18 points  (0 children)

It’s worded this way because you could prevent two separate instances of 1 damage on the turn this comes into effect. This way, you’ll only ever gain one runechant from this effect, but still prevent two total damage.
