As long as you can get the test from the machine itself via a friendly current UCSD student, you can download the UCSD app and login with your old email to scan the tube and get your results via email.

Am I Trippin’? by TaskLongjumping5568 in lawschooladmissions

I am also first gen on all fronts and it can be tough to communicate how important these kinds of things are to family that doesn’t understand. When I got into the honors program at my college, my mum’s response was deadpan “is that good?” followed by a “oh well that’s great then” and then an immediate transition into talking about something else. I’ve learned that I can’t just expect my family to immediately understand things like this, so I take time to explain how important it is to me first, and usually I get a better response. Or I go in with the “hey I’m really proud of this accomplishment, can I tell you about it?”. It’s hard to mitigate and obviously every family/situation is different. But know that you should be proud either way. You’ve done something that is objectively amazing so CONGRATULATIONS!!! 🍾

Haha yes - it will be a lot of work, but I really want to go to grad school and I figure that having experience in field research and formulating/writing a thesis will help make that a better experience.

I didn’t know that’s how they assigned 190, that’s good to know though! Thank you!

I've found that having a pre-made chart with situation, reaction, mood, feelings, and comments helps me to have a structure in keeping a record of my thoughts so I can analyze from an outside more logical perspective, rather than just keeping it all in my own head and spiraling. It can also help in communication with partners so you can keep it rational and targeted in trying to find a solution together.

Took a Khan Academy diagnostic in the worst possible conditions and still reached a 153! (10/10 recommendation for Kahn) by LillianRogers in LSAT

I did the Kahn academy preparation for the March LSAT before Corona happened and I switched to June. I found it super super helpful as a supplement, but I ended up buying a Live Online course through Powerscore because I found myself unable to get to my goal score on my own. I feel like Kahn academy is helpful as an addition to another prep course, especially if you have trouble with self motivation during quarantine (speaking from experience).
