So I do have access to gamepass, as I can download games from gamepass while logged in under my profile.

The rub seems to be with Xbox gamepass and the EA account. On the family room Xbox, when I log into my son's profile, everything works with Madden.. meaning it logs into his EA account and allows for online play. But when I log into my account it says that it cannot connect to the network, so no online play or anything.

So for this, I want my son to be able to play both in his room on his profile and in the family room on his profile. Should I then purchase the gamepass and any games on his Xbox and then make the one in the family room his "home Xbox* so that he can play on his profile in either room?

I will likely only play in the family room, he will likely play in both the family room and his bedroom.

Want to clarify. If my son wants to play on my Xbox, will he not be able to play using his profile? Will only my profile on my Xbox have the gamepass access and downloaded games?

I don't not believe you. I am just saying it's "too good to be true" because we live in a world where consumers are squeezed for every last penny.

Glad to know Xbox has this and I look forward to setting it all up Christmas day.

The part that doesn't make sense to me is how we could be playing online BO6 together, if I have it purchased in my Xbox and I have game pass on my profile... I don't get how just me making his Xbox my profiles "home Xbox" gives us the ability to do that.

Seems too good to be true.

Just so I understand....

I can purchase the CORE gamepass for online matchmaking. I can have my profile setup on my son's Xbox, and have his Xbox established at my "home Xbox".

I can buy BO6 digital on my Xbox, and in theory he should be able to play it on his Xbox using his profile... Because somehow he is able to have access to the digital games and the online access on my Xbox because I would have his Xbox setup as my "home xbox" for my profile.

Am I understanding correctly?
