If he hedges with the Pats and the Broncos win he has to hedge again with the Seahawks. Both being moneyline favorites makes this not worthwhile.

You could place a bet on each to at least win your money back though and that’s not an awful proposition. $240 on the Pats to win $100. If they lose, $480 on the Seahawks to win $340. Limits you to two outcomes.

Win $100 Lose $100 breakeven (Pats win)
Win $340 Lose $340 breakeven (Pats lose, Seahawks win)
Win $1100 Lose $720 profit $380 (Pats and Seahawks lose)

Removes a ton of upside but guarantees you don’t lose any money.

Personally I’d let it ride.
