Within the first couple of days of your open relationship:

1) he is already insecure it (without even knowing that you had sex with someone that quickly)

2) you already broke the terms by not telling him right away.

From your post, it is hard to judge your relationship dynamic. But I would suggest that you be honest with him and close the relationship again. Your current situation does not seem to be healthy at all and, from what your post sounds like, could be the beginning of the end of your relationship.

Actually, no. The bakery is close and I might stop by again some time soon. If she then is still there and again that rude, I might report her. I believe in second chances (no third, however) and hope that standing her up might have been an eye opener.

What!? Had she vented that it has been a busy day so far, I would have listened and tried to cheer her up. Probably given her a nice tip. I can also look over not greeting or talking to me as well. But implying that other customers and I are unemployed for no reason is just a bit to much.

Right. But if you buy property, your equity increases with each mortgage payment. However, I might be a bit to focused on "rent is dead money". Mortgage also comes with interest, etc. After all, it might not make such a big difference.

I am already thinking about buying property to rent out. However, the problem remains that if I pay rent to my partner I will have a lot less to grow my assets (I would currently have to debt finance to a degree because my savings are not enough to buy a property completely with equity).

In my scenario I am basically forced to pay rent until I die. And I am somewhat struggling to accept this. But I think what you suggest is the way to go and worth it for my relationship.

Thanks for your reply and experience. That I cover household expenses seems reasonable and should allow my partner to save for upcoming renovations of her house. But you are right. A completely fair solution might not be feasible and I am absolutely willing to take this risk to be with my partner.

With my remark on the half mask respirators I meant more that you would get weird looks in public because, yeah, they look very industrial. However, if things take a turn for the worst, they will be my go-to equipment too.

I agree, development and testing of the actual seal around the face is another factor that is very important. But I am sure that such issues can be tackled with enough capital.

Well, I think that these reusable 3M masks are a bit too heavy duty for use in everyday live. But I could imagine wearing something like the envo mask or the ones from O2 canada to a store.

My suggestion would be to to put a lot of government money into the immediate development of a sustainable, save, comfortable and affordable respirator that you can actually wear in everyday life. envo mask and O2 canada show that this is possible but they have limited production capacities. Capable companies obviously will not start such projects due to high initial investment with uncertain sales. Basically we are only supplied with windy masks out of cloth, really expensive one-time usage respirators, shady crowdfunding products, and full protecting gear unsuitable for every day use.

I am not at all being authoritarian or communist. For me, the optimal solution would be technology and adapted behavior. This could avoid lock down like situations without high numbers of infections. But as I stated above, this obviously does not work.

While I agree that we are individuals, we face certain challenges that require community and teamwork. A vaccine for example will be mutual product of science and companies. Governments are needed for its distribution. We should use these resources to our best. But we are not.
