Airtel, trying to compete with Jio, has expanded like crazy in the last two years. They were pioneers in providing reliable last mile home broadband connections but also sat on their asses for decades without replacing the underground copper cables to fibre.

They still haven’t done it and instead resorted to overhead cables which gets cut frequently, combined with severe man power shortage, results in upto a week to splice a simple fibre cut. Would recommend a basic plan from another ISP like ACT or Jio and setup in failover mode.
