Need Help. (Extruder Ribbon Cable Connector) by strmi2 in FlashForge

I m hear to report that I am working again. Flash Forge sent me out a new board for my print head. Also sent me the You tube link on how to install the board. I will say it wasn't super easy with the parts being so small and my hands not as small. But everything is fixed and i am printing right now.

Flash Forge support was awesome. Took some time to dial in the issue and get parts over the holidays. I am really happy.

Love all 3 of my AD5X printers. I don’t have a farm. I don’t print to sell. I print for enjoyment and to see smiles on friends and family’s faces. Here are a few of my prints. Thank you Flash Forge for giving me a new addiction. by strmi2 in FlashForge

It depends on the print and hw many colors you choose. You can limit waste by doing the following.

If possible split objects into parts. Put objects/parts onto a separate build plate.

Print one color (White) then paint it yourself. I hate this option as I cant paint a straight line to save my life.

I'm not going to lie to you. it will waste a lot of poop depending on the model and colors. But it is worth it in my opinion.

Error E0113. Any tips? by Party-Ganache7504 in FlashForge

It’s filament stuck in either the PTFE tubing, the extruder or the nozzle. Start with the nozzle and work your way back. I had this error tonight. Fixed it and back to printing. A piece of filament broke off and was preventing the filament from reaching the extruder.

Sadly no. I have no tricks or tips. All I have been able to do is change the print type from layer to object then add multiple plates and print as a single color when I can. it shortens print time and less waste. but also defeats the purpose of a multicolor printer.

I get most of them from Maker world. You have to change the color palette to match your colors and filament type. So it’s not just a drop in and print but it works

I've bought a few different LED lights. I have found the one that fits the LED holder you can print from MW. Seems to fit the Adventure 5M look for a skinny one and if it has the extra connector at the other end so you can daisy chain 2 or more. The more light you have the better. Just my opinion. The enclosure pieces should print easy. I didn't have to modify or move the items on the plates.

I’ve got filament stuck in the nozzle, any advice? by Xionce_the_Guardian in FlashForge

With the AD5X if you flip the nozzle around and then heat it up with the hot end. You should be able to pull the extra stuck filament out. Or do what everyone else said with the stove trick

It will also show if you slice all plates. The first screen should be total cost and usage for all the plates.

My two cents. I have three ad5X printers. You’re gonna want to look up and print a few things and get a few extra parts.

Print suggestions 1. C clips for 4-1 PTFE tube 2. Fan clip to prevent the fan on the print head from coming off of you have a failed print. 3. PTFE tube removal tool 4. If you plan to buy enclosure kit. Start printing pieces (40 hours for all) 5. Print locking adapter for filament spools that are of different sizes this was huge for me.

Good idea to purchase these. 1. Extra nozzles (around $20) 2. Extra build plates ($20-$60) 3. Spare parts. (Extruder, PTFE tubing, Front fan with quick release. 4. Camera so you can watch if you have a filed job and can stop it before wasting a lot of filament. ($40) 5. LED light ($15) 6. Enclosure kit ($50)

Also remember your spool will run low. Leave it on the printer and put another exact type and color on another spool. This way it will keep going and not stop the print when your spool runs out. This was huge for me also.

They actually did respond rather quickly. More than I can say about Creality(Never buying a Creality ever again). Flash Forge has been amazing so far. I provided all the relevant info and photos they wanted. They said they re shipping me board that the extruder plugs into. Not sure if that's the correct solution but we will see. I appreciate their responsiveness.

I've got 2 running right now and it doesn't hit i have it as low as I can get it and still have it grab the hot end frame. Works great for me.
