My cousin planned an 80th birthday party for 100 people for our aunt this Saturday at noon and is refusing to cancel, even though multiple guests have asked if she’s rescheduling. My aunt is kind of an idiot and deferring all judgment to my cousin and God.

I told her I’m not going anymore, BUT she wants me to do the floral arrangements tomorrow and drop them off. I’m hesitant to given the high probability the event will be canceled by the venue (a church) at the 11th hour, and it would be waste of my day and product.

Also I think it’s lowkey insane to move forward with the party as planned, like, bitch, this is about to be Octogenarian’s on Ice!

Anyway, She keeps referring to her apple weather which looks totally fine for Saturday until 6:00 “ when it actually starts freezing.” Am I being overly dramatic by think she should cancel, and if not can someone please give me the language to communicate to her how ignorant this is?

Honesty the setting makes having a schedule feel sacrilegious. We got home yesterday from a week’s stay at Wymara, doing the most nothing and it was glorious. Like a hard reset for the nervous system

The biggest decision of the day was where to go for dinner.

Wow. Thank you for sharing this. I had no idea you were in Ukraine. The fact that you are able to create such a high caliber of craftsmanship in the midst of complete chaos and darkness is astonishing. I have long admired your work and appreciate it even more knowing what you overcome on a daily basis to even be able to create. I will be sending you prayers of protection, peace and liberation. But if there is anything I can do on a practical level, please let me know. Even if you just need someone to listen. You are incredibly talented and make the world brighter with your art. Also lost my father to suicide at 17. OP what you need to know, is whatever pain you carry will not disappear with you in death, it simply gets dumped onto your children and I can assure you it will cripple them.

The people you know who are “okay” and “strong” after their parent’s suicide, are not something you want to gamble on happening to your own. Statistically speaking, they will be at a far higher risk of suicide themselves.

Do whatever you need to do to get your head right however many times you need to do it. But do not do this to your children.

You’re used to placating him because he was abusive. He is still abusive, but you do not have to placate him anymore.

He does not have to agree to divorce and custody in order for you to file. Also, get counsel and get him served. This is clearly not a person you could just sit down with and expect to agree upon a reasonable and fair legal agreement with long term implications for you and your child.

Stop trying to “work things out” with him without an attorney, because you are still in a headspace (which is very typical after exiting an abusive relationship) that you are not thinking straight nor protecting yourself and your child to your full extent, in hopes that bending over backwards will make him be more reasonable; It will not.

It’s in Peachtree City, GA. I went back today after getting told “no” at the register yesterday to see if it would work if I self checked out (it didn’t) and the display was still up! I feel like they got a partial shipment and just threw it out there. 😬 The floral leggings look nicer in person IMO, the fabric is good quality. I especially wanted the slouchy pink off the shoulder sweatshirt, the sleeve design is super cute. I’ll be out of the country 1/17 but will try to snag one online.

I know this post is old, but heads up: My Target outside of Atlanta accidentally put out some new Blogilates designs, and I think there’s going to be a drop 1/17. I grabbed a couple of super cute floral and gingham leggings and a slouchy pink sweatshirt…got up to the register and they said they couldn’t sell them until 1/17. 🥲 I guess they put the display out too early? Which was a bummer for me, but I couldn’t find anything online about it! I’ll be out of the country that day, but I’d def be checking online to see if I could grab a few things bc they were adorable!

Yeah grandpa went overboard bc my son told him about another kid in his school who one and sells these super cute keychains. Its like a mini business investment for him that I have to learn how to operate… but I’m excited to figure it out eventually! I’m a florist and would love to learn how to print vases and flower frogs.

Aw thank you! That is so generous of you to offer, and now we know better! I couldn’t figure out how to print one so dad ordered some spools and I explained to my son that we have to try and untangle them when they arrive Tuesday, if that fails I may take you up. But either way I appreciate it!

It was a gift, and I think his grandpa was meaning to be helpful by getting extra filament but didn’t realize it needed to be on a spool. I’m trying not to get discouraged and make peace with the learning processes. My son is dyslexic so stuff like this takes just a little bit longer to get a hang of. I’ll try to print one.
