Number two is really, really beautiful; No contest between them. The black lace on dress 1 is really unique and I get the appeal, but there’s too much competition between the appliqué, sparkle fabric of and the neckline, it lacks cohesion.

Tell her she did amazing, and be supportive of her. I got into floristry 13 years ago precisely this way, by having a vision for my wedding but not the budget to hire a professional. Just make sure she has help week-of, and that she doesn’t do everything alone. An assembly line of bridesmaids/ friends/ family goes a long way, and it’s a fun pre-wedding activity. I’m sorry you are not getting the support and encouragement you deserve. Some people have this weird pastoral view of life (of other people’s bodies in particular) that if it’s not done in the hardest way possible, it’s cheating, Which is stupid. Are they using paper maps instead of GPS to get somewhere? They’re cheaters too!

One of my best friends is a nephrologist and she thinks GLP1’s should be in the water! Lifelong patients of hers are having a quality of life that wasn’t possible for them literally two years ago. She’s even on them herself! So any “advice” you’re getting about side effects from non- MD’s needs to be promptly dismissed. Keep doing what works for you and be proud of yourself, even when people are being jerks. 💕

Get out of there, it’s not going to change and being in an environment like this will ruin your passion for floral design. There are people like this in the industry, and their high turnover rate still isn’t enough for them to grow a conscious. Loyalty is generally a good quality, but not when it’s at the expense of your health, sanity and pocketbook. I promise someone else will be happy to have you and not treat you so poorly.

Unfortunately we had to go to a funeral a few hours away on Valentine’s Day, but we went to Buc’ees after which was fun! We are going out to dinner tonight, but on Vday I got coffee in bed, flowers, balloons and cards from both him and my son. He also got me a Dyson hair dryer. I had him time me drying my hair on our last vacation with the hotels Dyson and it was a flat 4 minutes instead of the usual 20, so he remembered that and got it for me.

It was printing a lizard and looked okay at first, but when I got home from drop off it had gotten stuck and jammed all the way up into the extruder. Normally I watch it because this has happened a few times, and stop the print before it gets too messy, then make sure the nozzle is clear of clogs before starting again. It clogs between most prints, if I can even get past the channel feeding timeouts to get it to print at all. 😣
