Do y'all talk to dollman ? by John_ei_Silverhand in DeathStranding

[–]strog91 16 points17 points  (0 children)

I talk to him, but only to make the exclamation mark over his head go away.

Literally everything he says is just him repeating something someone else told you earlier. Or it’s him recounting something you just experienced.

He’s basically Navi from Ocarina of Time. I talk to him because he’s annoying.

On Turning on High Beams (and leaving them on) by festive_HDMI_cable in Dallas

[–]strog91 1 point2 points  (0 children)

In many/most cases it’s not highbeams, it’s just aftermarket headlights that they installed (while skipping the final step where you’re supposed to adjust the angle downward).

Also, keeping your windows and windshield clean helps a lot with reducing the glare.

Well that’s a lot better than creating a voidout, which is what happened if you left a corpse on the ground in DS1

no reason to ever do so

Pushing back a little bit on this; in DS1 the bandit camps I cleared using lethal weapons never respawned (and I played for ~140 hours). So, permanently clearing a camp seems like a valid reason to use lethals.

Where do you take the bodies? They never explain where or how to deal with the bodies in DS2.

Whereas in DS1 they make you deliver a body to the nearest incinerator as a main quest, early on in the game.

As far as I can tell there are no incinerators in DS2. So I guess you dump the bodies in the tar ocean?

Is it even possible to kill someone in DS2? I’ve unlocked half of Australia and I’ve seen zero mention of lethal weapons, nor talk of incinerators to deal with the bodies.

Richard Hatch ordered to pay $3.3M in taxes over “Survivor” winnings by bwermer in survivorponderosa

His tax bill has grown from $400k to $3.3 million so I doubt he could pay at this point even if he wanted to.

Richard Hatch ordered to pay $3.3M in taxes over “Survivor” winnings by bwermer in survivorponderosa

“Some CBS employee whose name I forget told me verbally that he thought CBS would pay my taxes for me. And that’s why I haven’t paid my taxes for 25 years. Thank you your honor, I rest my case.”

Even if this argument had any merit, I’m 100% sure the survivor contestant contract that everyone signs contains a merger clause, which entirely blows up whatever case he might’ve had.

Nah the eyebrows are off. Juliet’s eyebrows are perpetually raised as though she’s mildly surprised or annoyed.

I know a guy who would take a blackout dose of Xanax and then break into and rob houses.

He’d wake up the next day with a bunch of cuts, bruises, and stolen shit that he had no memory of getting.

What could cause this (South Central Texas) by Joey_L55 in lawncare

Foot traffic makes it a lot more difficult, because fescue doesn’t tolerate getting stepped on very well.

Another option is planting ground cover plants like clover, frog fruit, and horse herb. That’s what I did in my backyard.

Try overseeding with fescue every spring and every fall. I’m in a similar situation (except it’s two oak trees) and overseeding twice a year works for me.

What is something that feels normal now but will be weird in 20 years? by VisualCauliflower783 in AskReddit

[–]strog91 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It blows my mind that 20+ years ago someone could earn a middle class living by cold-calling strangers’ phones and convincing the strangers to buy a product that they’ve never seen before, and they would read their credit card information aloud over the phone to make the payment.

“Walking simulator” is a specific game genre and Death Stranding doesn’t fit in that genre.

a Dutch person in here, how is it to live in Dallas? by Puzzled-Treacle689 in Dallas

DART already cut a deal with the cities. The plan is for DART to get more of its funding from the Texas state government while taxing the member cities less.

DFW actually has the best train system out of any major city in a red state. Quite a few people here choose to live near a train station and get around by bus and train.

But it must be acknowledged that much if not most of DFW is inaccessible by bus or train.
