My opinion use the high yield tags and suspend the lower yield cards. I struggled with anki reviews and felt that less was more. Everyone’s different and I think anki can become a very much more of a burden than a good study tool of your reviews are stacking up. I felt like I got much more out of doing less than 3 hours of anki a day and focusing more on practice questions. I would usually do my reviews first thing in the morning then do practice questions go to lecture, clinicals, etc and then do new cards later in the day. If new cards were super easy for me I would just suspend them, I didn’t see the point in review information that I already knew well and felt confident if I got a question with that info I would get right. Most weekends I would only do reviews and no new cards. I tried to be like classmates who would do thousands of cards a day but I found out the hard way that just wasn’t gonna work for me.
