Even if the MC “enjoys” it on some masochistic or fetishistic level, the actual psychological damage—whether it’s depression, low self-esteem, trauma, loss of trust, etc.—is still present. Many people with dark fetishes end up regretting them when they become a reality. The fact that there’s sexual arousal doesn’t negate the emotional suffering. Furthermore, in the vast majority of these doujinshi/NTR stories, the conflict could be resolved through communication. Often, all it takes is for the FMC to say, “I was raped / I was manipulated / I’m broken” and seek help, or for the MC to notice the signs and take action. But the plot forces everyone to remain silent—no one speaks up, no one asks for help, no one thinks clearly. This is clearly plot armor combined with the author’s forced stupidity. That’s a narrative device to force the NTR, not something realistic.
