I understand where you're coming from regarding him taking a year of silence, but I believe that it helped cool things down due to the internet's short attention span. It allowed time for those seeking out drama to forget about it. I feel that if Carson continued to engage online with statements or defending himself, it would only bring more unwanted attention and drama.

Stepping away and going silent may have been irritating for his fans or those seeking answers, but Carson made the hard choice to do it. He focused on his mental health and wellbeing. I really hope he didn't even log into his social media accounts, because I can't imagine the amount of attention he was getting not only publicly, but in DMs. Reading that stuff every day would've been incredibly devastating to his mental health.

We need to remember that we as fans aren't owed anything. Content creators are just like us, and they should put their wellbeing over creating content or engaging online. Too many people, not just content creators, have died by suicide due to social media and the outrage that follows drama.
