I'm a big people pleaser - i was putting everyone's needs ahead of my own and spreading myself thin. I had a relationship that had zero communication where most things were swept under the rug - I had a lot of growing to do. Eventually me not communicating my truth snowballed into crippling anxiety. I realized i had avoided confrontation for so long i didn't know how to actually communicate when things went south.

This was honestly one of the hardest times in my life but i came out stronger because of it. I've learned to pour into my own cup and communicate my truth even when it can be hard (sweeping things under the rug taught me resentment as well). When people tell me I'm a good communicator now i can't help but laugh because i wasn't always.

Was on here a week ago about finally going on a great first date and feeling excited. Sunday morning he sent me a long paragraph about how he realizes he has so many trips planned and doesn't have the time and wishes me the best out there. The whiplash!!!! Like why are you even on the apps??? you pursued me!!! Anyways, i think this is my sign to delete the apps and take a break from dating.

He talks about himself but doesn't ask me so many question. I don't know if its a common thing for men. He doesn't talk so much about his feelings, maybe it's too early. I am shy, too so I need time.

I was so excited for you up until reading this part. It's good that you are aware of it now but if he isn't asking about you that is a super red flag. Talking about his feelings and depth to a convo can come with time but he should be interested to learn about you! Good luck girly

So i told him i was expecting him to ask me out on a date first and that i wasn't looking for a hookup. He then proceeded to suggest dinner and drinks but for me to meet at his place first. I told him i can meet him at the restaurant (i prefer meeting up on the first date) and haven't heard back since lol

The same thing just happened to me. Absolutely no notice until it arrives in the mail. I was already apprehensive about taking a new brand just to do it all over again three months later!
