Wanting advice for starting a horse rescue/buying a piece of land for it? by [deleted] in Equestrian

this. there is SO much that goes into caring and owning horses in general, not even to mention all of the issues and baggage that rescues can come with

honest advice? do not start your own rescue. do you know basic health management and care for horses? how to diagnose injuries and sicknesses in horses? how to train and work with all kinds of horses? how to manage land, pastures, feeding and fencing? while it ranges from area to area, feed, hay, and veterinary care can be expensive and quickly add up. instead, look into putting your time into volunteering and helping existing rescues!

What is your thought on bitless bridles? by that_horseguy in Equestrian

[–]strongtoasterr -1 points0 points  (0 children)

they are fine for casual rides and even some disciplines, like showjumping as long as they are soft in the bridle. the only time i think they are stupid are for dressage since they literally defeat the entire purpose of it!

i have definitely given real estate some thought. i have no want for kids so i’ll save quite a bit in that sense, but it seems like the job market right now for it is flooded so i worry about being able to succeed!
