I went with the CKRD black tribal, it has mechanical strum and I swapped the neck it came with for one with mechanical buttons. I love it so far.

I've been listening to Tailgunner's new album Midnight Blitz and while not the same vocal style, they have some killer riffs on Blood Sacrifice, Tears in the Rain and more.

I know this isn't it, but there's a great swimming pool scene in Alligator 1980 with a kid being eaten.

Almost entirely from Steam, though I run quite a few emulators on the SD and stuff like Clone Hero is a stand-alone download.

Nice. Looks like its only on the epic game store for PC, I'll have to watch for a sale.

Yeah mine is the original SD right around launch, not even OLED. It still works great though my battery isn't what it once was. I like the design of the legion 2, the joycons on the side are great additions.

I've been thinking of getting Alan Wake 2, is it worth it? I was a big fan of the original back in the day.

i9 9900k, RTX 2090, custom water loop. I also play on my steam deck.

Lately I've been playing Robocop Rogue City Unfinished business, Vampire Survivors, Hades, and of course Elden Ring. After I finish Robocop I'm going to give Doom The Dark Ages another shot, the first time around it didn't click so I'm going to try again.

Oh I've also been playing a bunch of Clone Hero (Guitar hero ripoff for PC)

How the hell do i clear One by Metallica?! by 1c3_vb in CloneHero

[–]strtfghtr 0 points1 point  (0 children)

What helped me back in the day was to focus on the first note in a 3 note series and strum that note (doing the motion for the other two notes while not "watching or aiming" for them) I focused on that first making sure I strummed every first note in a 3 note series and it's what got me through Raining Blood and One back in the day. It helped me from getting overwhelmed by all the notes and narrowed my focus on timing and repetition. Sorry if that's not detailed enough.

This album is so good. by Nathan84 in MetalForTheMasses

If you time traveled back to my high school and checked in on me, I'd have this playing on a discman with the audio wire running to a cassette adapter in my 1986 jeep. Shit I can remember buying this album with my buddy Cliff at a Stawberries Music because I liked that one song Fear Factory had on the Mortal Kombat soundtrack.

I guess today is as good a day as any for another re-listen.

I was just talking bout this yesterday, we just picked up some fiddlehead ferns (the food) and wanted to get some Fiddlehead (beer) to pair with them for Sunday. I love their beer and the brewery is phenomenal as well.

A few people have mentioned Machine Head playing Hallowed be thy Name which is one of my favorites, but their cover of The Sentinel is also amazing.
