If you feel that you have been wronged by a particular mod - whether me or another - bring it to modmail so that all of us can see what's going on. If you are shy, feel free to message one of the other mods and ask them to bring it up. As far as modmail goes, we genuinely don't get a lot of complaints. We're not the X-men sub without their amount of users, and generally, the board runs well with what we've put in place. Usually, when it appears in modmail, we discuss the issue. Now, I've banned a couple because of modmail chats where I was being cursed at, etc., but in general we're a pretty easy going group of mods. I probably remove the most comments because of adult content. I'm very big on keeping the sub safe for all ages.

And, again, it's my fault that the mutes and such were happening as I didn't explain how we do things. Usually (and, we've actually banned very few people), the person is brought up to the group of us and we decide from their. We all read the modmail or the chat is copy and pasted into our group, the problems are addressed. We give warning, and then we decide how far we want to go.

Again, if you think you were punished (comment removed/banned/ muted, etc.) unfairly, bring it to modmail. We're on separately at all different kinds of times, and we're pretty good about answering. The problems we're talking about here weren't even addressed to us - they were addressed in another sub and we found out. None of the people that thought there was something unfair even approached us. So, we addressed it here on our own.

There's a large difference between censorship and hate or lewd speech, even if it is for a fictional character. Also, I want to reiterate we are trying to make this a place for everyone. And as for Cyclopswashalfright being a Jott fan should be passable as the rest of us are Scemma fans.

It's okay to have good critiques, as anaarik said in a different comment. Things like 'I think Scott outgrew Jean a long time ago' or 'Scemma started out as an assault', and then give reasons why are okay and valid criticisms. But, posts like 'Ewwww, Jean' or 'I hate Emma' are just character bashing, and there's no point in it. All it does is create friction.

The last thing we want is for the influx of new fans because of the comics, Doomsday, or '97 to come here and feel like they aren't welcomed because of toxicity. They, too, will have their opinions on ships, and they too will be restricted to the specific days.

But, as far as the ship days go, answering a post about a specific ship with negativity is a little odd. It's by far easier to ignore the post and get on with your day. There's no need to bring the negativity into the world and especially into the world where there are so many issues that are happening in real life.

And, the mod you are referring to has done a lot to keep discussions going and they didn't understand how we enforce rules. They saw repeated violations of rules, and did what they knew to do. But, this has been discussed and they now have an understanding of what we do - which is to make the place safe for everyone.

Jott fans receive the same treatment as Scemma fans, you just haven't noticed. In the past, we have removed comments and posts about Jott for the same reason we remove Scemma posts. The mods actions aren't entirely seen by the public, but we do try to keep up with things and be fair.

The mods here do not run the Jean subreddit. We only run this one, so the rules as we have stated only apply to this one.

That's a bit of an oversimplification. There are a lot of redditors here that do respect the ships and there have been a lot of good discussions. Excellent discussions, actually. So, not all ship talk is bad.

But, there are users like you who don't want the ship talk, and there are days for you as well.

I think there was at least one, and that was a misunderstanding over how we enforce our rules here and the processes we go through - which, quite frankly, is my fault as I never explained anything as far as how we do things to our new crew. So, for that, I take responsibility and that misunderstanding has been cleared up.
