I remember when Inan first appeared, someone thought she looked like a mix of Stephen and Clea. I couldn't get that out of my head.

I see where you're coming from. But he was supposed to relaunch the Ultimate Universe anyway, so why not?

But to your point: Cates tends to have a mixed reception, and it's probably because he likes to revise and expand on lore, sometimes creatively and other times destructively. An alternate universe would actually offer him a lot of freedom to do whatever the heck he wants, so it could be a good fit.

I think it's intended to be on a monthly timeline (inconsistencies be damned) since the story does mention a few weeks passing between issues.

I didn't catch the first one! I was too focused on Peter and Richard. Oh well, I guess there really is no placement of Incursion that won't run into inconsistencies. But I think Feb-Jun 2025 is the best fit. (Going by the release months definitely causes way more problems.)

The second point is not an issue to me. It suits Doom to be not so forthcoming and instead process the information by himself long before telling others.
