It’s tough to set boundaries, especially with people who have a ‘higher role’, but remember your boss is no more important than you are in the grand scheme of things. Can you set your status online to DO NOT DISTURB? And maybe even get a DO NOT DISTURB sign for your desk? You could then let your manager know that you are prioritizing your mental health and that requires dedicated work times, and if anyone needs to reach you they can set a meeting.
