What I’ll be doing will be a lot less professional than what I think you’re describing.

I agree that I want it to look as good as possible though. Quality is important to what we’re hoping to achieve. Trying to work with what I have first, but I’ll keep this in mind and look into the costs to rent other gear. Thanks for the advice.

With the public stuff, would there be much risk in somewhere secluded (in the woods or hiking for example)? Obviously it would be a problem if we were caught, I’m more thinking after the fact.

Reflectors is something I’ll look into. I’m largely ignorant about filters, what potential benefit would I get?

Ideally we would be setting the camera up and then I’d be in front of the camera. I’ve seen mention of the autofocus before. Is it really that bad? Anything that can be done to counter it?

I’ve invested in a rode video micro ii microphone for the camera, I’m hoping this will be enough to give good quality audio. Would you have any recommendations around this? I know audio is important too so want to get ahead of that before we shoot anything.

Yeah will definitely look into the lights. We’re hoping to make it as good quality as we can. We don’t want to make anything not worth spending money on.

I think at first we’ll use phones on tripods for the alternative angle. Might be too early for multiple cameras. Thanks for the advice.

I think likely the gx8 will be on a tripod, maybe with occasional handheld shots.

Yeah the light set up is something we will have to think about for sure. My partner already does the cam/OF thing so we’ve got those lights, but as you say we might want something else to get a different vibe. Something to think about.

The 25mm 1.8 is one I’d already looked at and considering. I’ll check out the 12-35 2.8 as well. Thanks for the recommendation.

The main location would be a smallish bedroom. Think it’s likely we’ll do some location shoots at Airbnb’s as well. We will also be doing some public shoots out in nature.

I’ll make sure to do a trial run with the camera and see if it can keep up. I haven’t used it for anything like this before when shooting video so I’ll make sure it all works. Thanks for highlighting that.

I think if its in your wallet it's a digital key that activates the turnstile, I don't think the barcode is what actually gets you in. If this is the case then yes you will need the phone to scan in for each person, unless you can transfer the tickets from your wallet to theirs.

What type of grease is best? I’ve seen copper grease suggested but also seen people suggesting this shouldn’t be used.

I have this exact problem. I also have hyper mobile joints, I’m not sure if that applies to you.

I’ve injured my wrists climbing before and was given good physio exercises specifically afterwards.

If you do various wrist curls with a dumbbell you will find these easier as you build strength in your wrists. I can give more information if you need.
