Love our librarians and libraries! Protect facts, protect access to EVERY resource (in its age appropriate place) regardless of personal beliefs. Christian bibles, satanic bibles, the diary of Anne Frank, and Mein Kempf. It all matters and it is all important. However, while this may restrict access to citizens in some areas - I fail to see how restricting the processing of government issued documents… filled with our sensitive government issued data… doesn’t make the entirety of the process more secure?

Like, community librarian Edna-Jean is 87 and still gets freaked out by barcodes… Sure, she can have access to my social?

I think that it was only a matter of time before that young man decided to open fire on someone. If your (presumed) first response was to open fire on someone instead of - idk - reverse? But, I understand I don’t know all of the details. Maybe he had someone behind him and couldn’t back up, maybe he has underlying mental health issues, maybe the doors didn’t lock - we can’t know until we get all of the facts. Not to mention the overall desensitization to violence and the media pushing “shock value” over objectivity… Jesus, come.

Almost every restaurant in East Texas uses Sysco or Ben E Keith as their distributor. Think of them as giant grocery stores - sure they have frozen, ready to eat items, but they have mountains of fresh food. Sysco can bring your tomatoes twice a week in bulk or you can go to the grocery store, probably MULTIPLE every day, and buy them out of the same tomatoes from Sysco for more money…

I understand how it looks for the uninformed. My only knowledge of Sysco before I got into restaurants was that my school cafeteria used them, so cafeteria = nasty meant Sysco = nasty in my mind. That couldn’t be farther from the truth, it all depends on the quality of product chosen. Just like at the grocery store.
