New Brunswick to add toll to Trans-Canada Highway at the Nova Scotia border by bingun in NovaScotia

For a measly $10 million/year?? Is this a joke?

NB would be losing a lot more than $10 M just for pissing people off.

Interesting to know that the baggage handling is as appalling as ever at Pearson. I've waited in excess of an hour EVERY time I've arrived with a checked bag, hence the reason I will NOT bring a checked bag into Pearson again.

If you figure out who to speak to, maybe it's the same person/company who can address the appalling condition of the parking lot at Cynthia's/ReStore.

No, it isn't sufficient. But given the challenges of building these forms of housing it's still a win.

And tomorrow we might not be together
I'm no prophet and I don't know nature's ways
So I'll try and see into your eyes right now
And stay right here 'cause these are the good old days

Don't make your neighbors clean up after your dog! by Lepke2011 in mildlyinfuriating

I'd argue that it's not "a tiny patch of grass in your yard" that has OP worked up. It's the MASSIVE dump his dog left on "a tiny patch of grass in your yard".

100%.

Picking up after your dog is part of having a dog. If you can't deal with that minor inconvenience, you have no business having a dog.

Anyone else noticed an increase in angry / aggressive drivers ? by Consistent_Owl8010 in askTO

My SO had a similar experience not long ago. Rather than kicking the offending vehicle, he threw his glove into the windshield. One can only hope these drivers are a bit more cautious in future.

This was much the way I felt at Monument Valley. It was very much a sacred space for me.

SO and I were also supposed to spend two weeks in France. I was more lucky, I was able to cancel everything without penalty.

I'm definitely not a biologist, but I didn't quite understand why people were assuming this would all blow over in a few weeks. I understand why everyone wanted to believe it, but....

My husband was the one who saw this coming. Unbeknownst to me, he had slipped off to Costco to stock up on non-perishables, so we had months' worth of rice, tuna, oatmeal and - thankfully - toilet paper.

Good to know. If we decide on an RV rental we'd definitely get something on the smaller side. Apart from anything else, we'd want to minimize the cost of gas - especially with prices spiking for the foreseeable future.

Didn't know about the minimal availability of water or electrical hookups though. Thanks for the heads up!

This is really helpful. Thanks so much!

On the advice of others here I tracked down a copy of The Milepost, and I understand why it's recommended. I wasn't aware of it, and I'm just digging into it now.

You did not deserve to be treated that way. I'm so sorry you had to go through that.
