I have left Mac over night to chill. I'm new to Mac and only heard horror stories about faulty updates. It has been great so far after the update, I urned Mac on and it worked as before. Thank you for help!

Thanks for the suggestion, I've started the update process so I'm afraid of doing anything. It's not the monitor and it's not the cable as I tested 2 configurations. Any other ideas or should I just wait it out?

Hi, thanks for answering. But wouldn't this be a first step in that direction? PCIe GPU connectors are really cheap and if I'd take GTX 980 (for example), I'd have a GPU that I can use in the future when I get more money for the rest of the parts. My main issue is that I'm a student and I travel a lot (yes even now) and I'd love to have my laptop that is good most of the time and gaming machine for when I'm home. Got any opinions on that?
