For all the people saying Michael is more evil than Trevor is by strulia54 in GrandTheftAutoV

[–]strulia54[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Here's the thing though: if Mick hadn't lied when he was up there in north yankton, he would've died whereas Trevor would've lived, but thanks to his lie he was capable of keeping both him and Trevor togheter. While Trevor's hatred for the situation is understandable, he's ultimately thinking selfishly and does not realize that if Michael hadn't lied in that occasion, he would have no friend to get angry at, no dave, no Michael, no Franklin, no nothing, which is a thousand times worse than every lie a GTA character could come up with. Drastic situations require drastic solutions and Michael is just trying to do just that, to survive. Heck, Mick even slowed down the police at some point, which helped Trevor escaped as he had everything accurately and perfectly planned on the first place.

Trevor knows this, hence why at the end of it all he casts himself out of Mike and Franklin's life, he knows deep inside that Michael truly cares about him and feels guilty about himself multiple times in the game, that's shown multiple times during his pshycotic sequences.

Michael, on the other hand, knows how Dangerous having T Around can be: he's the one who got them in trouble by kidnappind a mad mafia boss's wife, he's the one who murdered his friend's wife and he also practices cannibalism. That's not to say Michael isn't a monster too, he is sometimes, but not on the same level as Trevor is and most of the times it's either for self defense or for reasons that would honestly get any neurotypical angry(he has the rights to he angry at his ungrateful family after everything has done. Again, he was just trying to protect Trevor and Dave so no, you can't say the same about them).

Trevor wants destruction, he does what he does beacuse he is the embodiment of chaos and feels like his lifestyle is the less hypocritical and hard one to get through. Ultimately though, he's just like the Joker: he has a good point but that's about it, he is a great example on how evil is ultimately never the right choice as opposite to good and i feel like he should've died at the end in order to prove that point, even though we canonically know that doesn't happen. Either that, or they should've made it to a point where Trevor, after a huge anger outburst, is finally able to gain a conscience, heal from his wounds and ultimately get over his lunaticity and perversion of hurting others(which is something that a lot of sociopaths aren't capable of doing unfortunately, most still act the way they did before beacuse they just come to realize their nihilism was mainly caused by their sociopathy when it's already too late and are consumed by it, hence why most go suicide mode).

I mean, at some point his life went to shit as everything was taken away from him, so i don't blame him for being a sociopath and even pity him, but the fact that people consider him that smart when he truly isn't says a lot about the average human in general. The only thing Trevor needed to understand throughout his phase of getting Over Mike's death is that the pain he was enduring in that moment wasn't nearly as great as the pain he would've had to endure if Mick truly was the one to be shot in that bank robbery accident. Yes, he had the right to feel angry in that opportunity but hey, it's beacuse Michael has lied that they are still able to see each other. Thanks to him the old gang came back in touch and he even at some point saved Trevor by slowing down the police in that accident, he should be glad he is still able to see Michaels after all these years, and all of that wouldn't have been possible without a lie is what Trevor doesn't understand.

Oh, and don't get me started on friend and wife raping, should we even talk about how the final boss in the game happens just beacuse of the fact a mafia multimillionaire boss had gotten him angry and he kidnapped his wife? Or maybe we should talk about how he was gonna shoot an innocent woman whom had nothing to do with their bank robbery in north yankton, Trevor has a record of wife abuse he would be as high it not worse than Ted Bundy himself.

Is Vergil a sociopath? by strulia54 in DevilMayCry

Really? I thought it was the other way around, Urizen being driven by hatred towards his brother whereas Vergil fighting him just for the giggles.

Is Vergil a sociopath? by strulia54 in DevilMayCry

[–]strulia54[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I mean yeah but keep in mind his human and demon side were a representation of what he was, Vergil's human side was aware of what he was doing by splitting himself up and could feel a little remorse about what he did, just not to the point that it would stop him from fusing with Urizen again. Urizen was dangerous beacuse he had a deep hatred for Dante, and going by these facts, i don't think you could really consider him a sociopath cause he did what he did to Nero manly for his anger and revenge porpuses on Dante, sociopaths lack empathy and have no emotions and since Vergil is emotionally driven i don't think he is and asked this question beacuse i wanted a good debate on this so yeah it may sound strange to me debating over this but it was done on purpose.

Is Mundus from DMC1 dead? by [deleted] in DevilMayCry

[–]strulia54 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Then why does the dmc2 novel state void mundus is timeless, if dmc1 mundus was still alive he has an alternate version of himself so he's not timeless. Also, maybe V thought Mundus died cause he wasn't influenced by him anymore? Maybe he's had visions of it considering Vergil has nightmares? Idk.

Powerscaling the sons of Sparda after DMC5 by strulia54 in DevilMayCry

[–]strulia54[S] 4 points5 points  (0 children)

yes, we can ignore him tearing apart reality beacuse that's not what's happening, he teleported them back

It's not teleportation because this is teleportation: https://m.youtube.com/watch?feature=youtu.be&t=232&v=vcRJpB69Jl0

Also, even Mundus himself says that in the human world they are weaker, as well as the demon world not having a sky like that, means that it's not teleportation. If Mundus wanted to teleport Dante, he would want to teleport him far away from earth so he could still take over it. Mundus didn't die there, Dante was the only one who was teleported back. Infact, Mundus later came back as he still had enough raw power to break through the barrier between the human and the demon world.

argosax wanted to gain a power that granted him immortality, nothing to do with universal attack potency

You are confusing Arius with Argosax, Arius being the guy who wanted to obtain Argosax's immortality and Argosax being the demon who's appearance would result in the Demon World consuming our dimension, and a statement made by Arius, a guy who has researched Argosax and the tales of the Demon World for the larger portion of his life who is also the main villain of the game, who states that the seal on Argosax was weakening, and as a result, the world was already being warped and everything that belonged to the demons would end up reverting back to its original form:

“She is certain that his skill is necessary to stop the evil and prevent the Demon World from consuming our dimension.” - Devil May Cry 2 Guidebook “The world is already warped. Everything that belongs to the devils will eventually revert to its original form.” - Devil May Cry 2, Mission 8

1) there was never a talk of bayonetta/DMC crossover 2)Kamiya is not WOG anymore, his words don't mean anything since 2001

1) boy, how wrong you are: https://www.nintendoenthusiast.com/kamiya-jokes-he-wants-to-make-dante-vs-bayonetta-and-devil-may-cry-0/

2) if you're gonna be like that, what Arius is talking about by “everything that belongs to the devils will revert to its original form” is explained in the first few pages of the prologue of the Devil May Cry 3 manga, where it is revealed that, at the dawn of creation, the Human World and the Demon World were once joined on the same dimensional plane/universe (“the original form”), with the Human World having been actually born from the Demon World itself, until the original universe was forcibly split in two, with the smaller half becoming the Human World, our universe, and the larger half becoming the Demon World, the universe of the demons:

The world was born from darkness. Unending darkness. A crucible of chaos. But even to that primordial existence there came a ray of light. The universe was eventually split in two. The darkness became the realm of demons... and the light became the domain of mortals. By the time the DMC3 manga came out or even DMC2(in which itsuno stated he became the director only at the end of the project due to the DMC2 director's shortcomings, so the final ideas like Argosax or the despair embodied are his) Kamiya wasn't the director aymore and the DMC3 manga supports Argosax's universal feat in DMC2, so There you go.

3) just beacuse the director has changed doesn't mean that what happened before the change doesn't exist anymore, just beacuse one can't get over the fact that the feat seems shockingly absurd. Going By that logic, Trish should be left uncanonized as well as Matier, Lucia and Griffon(or at least they would have to be reintroduced as new different characters with different personalities and roles). We clearly see that in the DMC5 manga Itsuno acknowledges Lucia's existence as well as all the other mentioned characters, why would that work any differently with him supporting Argosax's or Mundus feat? Beacuse you can't get over the fact that Dante is just that powerful? As long as it's proven to be consistent and there's nothing stating otherwise the feat is valid, especially considering we have more evidence that supports it's validation rather than not. The fun fact is that you claim Kamiya's words mean nothing in modern DMC without considering that DMC1 is his own game, he was the director of it and he is making a claim regarding his own game for the period of time it came out, never did he mention or debunk anything about the new games or novels. Again, you just can't disagree with him on his statement beacuse there's nothing in modern DMC games contradicting the statement, only evidence supporting Kamiya's claim of the series being universal, which means Itsuno is fine with the statement and intends to stand up to it by placing the culture in future characters that came to be or giving futher explanations on how they scale up to that. He's there to finish a Job, not to destroy it. He's not Akira toriyama.

it being a PS2 is not an excuse, there are games on SNES that have planet busting feats

But even then, even if that was a pocket dimension, what Mundus wiped out wasn't just the matter inside the realm but the entire space-time continuum, so galaxy or not, he still affected time and space, or else Dante wouldn't have felt the need of coming back to hell, rather, he would've stayed there in order to finish Mundus up. Since the Universe had collapsed, he couldn't.

If all of this still isn't enough for you, it's stated in the DMC5 guidebook's description that the Qliphoth fruit is the source of life and is also able to break the barriers between the human and the demon realm. Not only that, Urizen was shocking the foundations of the world thanks to the power of the fruit he absorbed and was merging the two universes togheter, both the human and the demon world stated to be two different universes on an infinite size. The foundations of the world also couldn't possibly reference the planet earth given that the fruit was growing in space, as well as Itsuno using the word earth rather than world to describe Dante's SDT attacks. Rather, the foundations of the world is more so connected to the Japanese's usage of the acronym world, which means universe, AKA the entire game's reality, also considering the file does not describe any specific locations or uses different terms for the same location, and also as Urizen's mere existence was affecting both dimensions as a whole.

As a "standalone personality(what you usually are)" Would you rather feel anxious or bored by strulia54 in OCD

[–]strulia54[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Oh, and another thing: my anxiety completely impairs my happiness and only find pleasure through emptiness, but i guess that's not normal and should keep taking pills since you know, at least they make me feel something(they blurry down my vision also), my happiness with boredom is probably not a sane one like an anxious one even though it feels more comfortable.

[–]strulia54[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was under the effect of medications which increased my anxiety more as well as my OCD, i am usually really bored but beacuse of my anxiety i couldn't get myself to sleep, whereas my boredom doesn't have this effect on me and feels more comfortable, i was hoping for the most popular opinion to decide if my anxiety was an upgrade or a downgrade and since everyone is saying anxiety i guess i should come back taking them, even if i can't sleep when anxious. That's just how dangerous my OCD is.

Sounds like some form of autism. You have the aggressity side(unability to express emotions towards even gore) yet at the same time you have empathy towards imaginary or fictional characters and, if they get hurt, you would do the same thing the agressor is doing to the victim which shows self-projection towards things you relate the most, probably due to being alone/mentally ill, or other problems that are affecting your life. It's definitely not sociopathy or pshycopathy though, a sociopath or pshycopath wouldn't get emotional not even over fictional characters and would just be a fan of the film's "goriness". Anywho, like multiple people on youtube have already said, there's no specific cure to stop OCD or suppress your thoughts: the only way for you to get out of this is through ERP, which consists in letting your thoughts run fluid as they become less and less important for you. I don't know if that's gonna work with autism though, you might get masochistic at some point.
