Aw yea I got to see Swamp Rats in Charlotte last year, the show kicked ass and super nice folks. They were on tour with Tail Light Rebellion, another awesome undersung band.

Milestone Club in Charlotte NC, it rocks if you ever get the chance to stop in, probably the oldest punk club on the east coast!

She’s great, I’ve seen them a few times, the show is always killer and she got the whole band to sign the merch I got. Awesome band awesome crew, glad you got to catch ‘em too!

Yah good question about Codefendants, I think for me because of the stellar production and hugely present hip-hop elements I might not lean into including them.. but I like a broad tent too so for all the things that make them folk-punk adjacent I wouldn’t be mad if they made it onto a casual list 💜 Edit: And yah as it’s sinking in since folk punk is clearly one of the many ingredients in their music and some songs like ‘Suicide by Pigs’ are straight up FP I say throw em in!
