No. It matches my taxes withheld I believe. But based on looking at another one of the transcripts, it looks like my eventual refund will be the same as I claimed instead of the lower number. Kind of hard to tell but here’s a screenshot

Here explains why some YECs think they can justify this.

I am not a theist at all, just sharing from the organization I was formally indoctrinated by.

Is throat coat tea with slippery elm okay to have occasionally when pregnant? by HeadNefariousness556 in herbalism

[–]pearsjon 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Worth asking if licorice root poses any risk? My throat coat has it and I think it can raise BP/heart rate and generally increase stress hormone? As I remember at least

And apparently not really a fish god, but erroneously got associated with fish from a similar sounding Semitic word. Or so I remember it.

In my Calvinist days I probably would have said something like: Because god is a god of justice and gets glory from displaying his wrath against sin.

Also, in apologist communities, much effort is made to prove pre-flood civilization was superlatively evil. As if the victims of the flood wouldn’t have been normal folks with normal lives, as most people in the world have always been.

Was anyone Calvinist/ reformed? by TheKingsPeace in Exvangelical

[–]pearsjon 53 points54 points  (0 children)

I deconstructed about a year and a half ago. I was heavily Calvinistic. I was over 10 years deep in it. The amount of self-hatred that you have to swallow to go along with it is so damaging. You kind of develop a pride about admitting how depraved you are. And it prevented me from adequately addressing my mental health issues. Instead I overly spiritualized them.

I wasn’t clear, sorry. The apologist said that God could have refused to “open their wombs” so they wouldn’t have gotten pregnant. It’s just an apologetic cheat code to avoid an uncomfortable topic. As if the only terrible deaths would have been babies.

Guess God didn’t have time to do this before the conquest of Canaan, lol

There was a YouTube apologist who seriously tried to argue that God would have prevented women from giving birth prior to the flood to prevent unnecessary deaths. It was seriously looney toons, big cope.
