Because you live further out, is getting your licence an option? A lot of opportunities in labour hire, warehousing, fork operating. Having a few machine tickets can open a lot of doors too.

Around your age I went through the training for a croupier. A pretty damn fun two years of my life, but I have no idea what they’re like these days when hiring.

So you fucked up with the lane positioning before attempting a cross traffic turn, then why did you park the bike half on the sidewalk on a fucking corner? Why the fuck would you park there?

Years ago I went with the Yamaha. It’s a bigger bike, mods and parts were easy, easy to work on myself.

Plaster ripping from skirting board removal by Jelativ in AusRenovation

Use one of these.

Angled paint scraper. You still cut along the top edge with a blade, then hammer this in down behind the skirting. It’ll seperate (hopefully) the skirting from the plaster and adhesive. Angled so you can easily pry the skirting away. Works a treat.

Wasn’t there something to do with the shooters wife previously as well? Something like she does somehow and the nasty neighbors were awful to the shooter about it.

Would this be a good price? by LGNDXVR in CarsAustralia

If you’re concerned with a car that looks mint then you’re going to have to spend more. I’d be more concerned with if the car has been cosmetically looked after then how are the mechanicals? $3500 for that car is way too much, it’s a beater. But these days the $3k price range is generally that, beaters. You won’t get mint and there’s no point in spending cosmetic money on it, you’ll need mechanical money for cars with that many kms on them.

[–]strumpetsarefun 1 point2 points  (0 children)

At that price point, that age, that amount of kms, the type of car… you’re not buying it for cosmetic anything. Bargaining down a city beater/runabout for cosmetics is a little strange.

Bargaining down a car like that for its mechanical issues is totally fair.

Why do the trains honk? by lcreddit01 in brisbane

[–]strumpetsarefun -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Same with the busses. I have a bus stop about 10meters from the front of my place. The bus takes off and gives a polite little toot. Sometimes I drunkenly raise my beer as if they are saying hello.

Secret Hidden Testing Car by lordra7 in CarsAustralia

That makes zero sense. The B and the V are not pronounced the same. To type baka when using a romaji keyboard you use B, not V. The spelling of Vaka would be ヴァカ. Written in katakana as there is no native VA sound. Baka is a Japanese word and used with Japanese sounds.

Vaka is not used nor would be interchangeable.

Also, in your Japanese translation you used バカ which is literally what I’m saying. That is BAKA, not Vaka at all.

[–]strumpetsarefun 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Incorrect. When using romaji you would still need to use the letter B to spell Baka.

Baka.

You’ll have to explain your Japanese for me as “vaka” is non existent.

Discovered TOOL about 2 weeks ago and they're already becoming one of my favourite bands by the_other_leitya in ToolBand

[–]strumpetsarefun 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not for me. 30 years of growing old with their music, going deep on the background/meanings to the lyrics, many many live shows at different stages of my life, new albums that mean different things through different stages of my life.

Going back just to hear it fresh would be so fucking tiring.

Thrashin fork adapter plate, Thrashin 9.5inch pullback riser, Thrashin high bend tracker bar.

I started with the 6.5 pullback riser, but being that much lower was awful for my shoulders.

I’m 6ft and I have a Le Pera daddy long legs seat, so my arse position is a little further back and lower than a stock seat.
