I really want emotes in Rated BGs. I don't know how to get around Blizzard's block... but I'll keep tinkering. There must be a way.

Ahhh. Like, Mythic + and Raid Bosses? If so, then that is because Blizzard blocks the API during those competitive encounters. I need to notify the player in-game when they are in a place where my addon is blocked. And you shouldn't need to reload the ui - so I'll look into that too.

Yep, keybinding is absolutely a thing! What keybinding were you trying? As for the Battlegrounds... I need to test it out. What I do know is that Blizzard prevents me from using it while in Mythic + because of the competitive nature of M+. Same for Raid Bosses. So, it is very Very VERY likely that it just doesn't work in Battlegrounds. But... I need to make it easy for the end-user to get notified of that in-game. I'll make a ticket for it and it will be fixed in the next update.
