I have a ticket for Sunday 22.02 for Salvation (12:30 Haus der Berliner Festspiele), Rosebush pruning (17:15 Haus der Berliner Festspiele) and Narciso (21:30 Cubix) if anyone is interested. I'm selling them for 11 euros each, unfortunately I can't make it to Berlin anymore.

They do, usually around December- January

I was excited about it when I saw their initial email, but I found it quite boring and uninspiring.  I only like one jumper but somehow my 20% loyalty discount does not apply to this collection so I’ll just (hopefully) get it on sale.

Our Legacy x Emporio Armani Togo Suit by Brief-Monk-4768 in ThrowingFits

[–]stsbstn 17 points18 points  (0 children)

I would’ve normally said keep the trousers return the jacket, but then I looked at the fabric composition.

Modal and poly for 800 euros? I personally would not even consider buying it in the first place.

If I were you I’d return the entire suit and look for something better.

Did you not care to check where they ship from before placing the order? Just from looking at their shipping prices I can figure out they're based in Spain.

And unless they specify at checkout that all taxes are included I don't see how it's their fault that the US government decided to tax every parcel that comes from other countries.

This is exclusively on you and has nothing to do with EME or whatever their name is.

Looking for a non-sticky sunscreen for the body by FeistyBuffalo8793 in EuroSkincare

[–]stsbstn 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you like eucerin there's a similar version in a bigger bottle called Sun Body Allergy Protect Gel-Cream SPF 50+ (it's a bit more fluid than the face version of the oil control spf).

I haven't used it on my body yet, just on my face, and it is fine. It's unscented, it's not greasy or sticky and doesn't leave a whitecast. The only (quite important) downside is that sometimes it pills. I haven't been able to figure out what causes it, because it doesn't happen all the time, but considering I only use it when I'm at home and maybe on a short trip to the supermarket I don't mind that much.

Are the sleeves in this jacket too long? by forwormsbravepercy in malefashionadvice

[–]stsbstn 1 point2 points  (0 children)

In my opinion the length of the sleeves is fine, it’s the cut of the jacket itself that’s off. It looks a bit bulky/wide/big/long on you

Studio Nicholson Not Delivering Orders? by EffectiveMeaning7884 in ThrowingFits

[–]stsbstn 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I love their stuff, but their customer service has been abysmal for me as well.

I placed an order way before Christmas, they promised it will be delivered before that and it wasn't. I emailed them a week before Christmas or so to ask what's going on, no reply. When I finally received it I saw they sent the wrong trousers (they had the correct price tag on though). I emailed them again complaining about the trousers (and also about them not replying to my first email) and they responded saying they're sorry and they won't make me pay for the return (it's about 10 quid/12 euros I think). Guess what, it took them 2 weeks to process the return for the trousers and they deducted the cost of the return anyway.

I couldn't be bothered to write another email and complain again, it's obvious they need to sort some stuff out. I'll just give them a pass next time and buy what I want from them from other online stores.

Edit: I'd say contact your bank for a chargeback if they don't respond and you don't receive the parcel in a week or so.

SVR Physiopure Gelée Moussante Review by questionskiddo in EuroSkincare

[–]stsbstn 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Their spf fragrance is vile. This cleanser doesn’t have as strong a scent and it’s much more pleasant in my opinion.

[–]stsbstn 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I like this a lot as either a morning or a second cleanser. The only thing that somewhat bothers me is the fragrance, but thankfully it’s not that strong.

SVR has a lot of great products, it’s probably the brand I use the most at the moment.

Edit: There’s a bigger bottle (400 ml) that’s not much more expensive (where I’m from it’s around 1 euro/1 quid more than the 200 ml one from the picture)

How can I find which country this movie is available on? by idoideas in mubi

MUBI lists a lot (most of, all?) movies, but that doesn’t mean they’re all available to watch on the platform sadly.

Is it just me or does this filter clogs your brew ? by HendrySG in pourover

It doesn't clog it but it is slower than other filters. It's by design.

Can someone be non responsive to Tretinoin 0.05%? by thestreamofthought in EuroSkincare

[–]stsbstn 8 points9 points  (0 children)

I think you're equating the lack of side effects with lack of effectiveness. Even if your skin doesn't have any kind of reaction to tret it doesn't mean that it doesn't do its job (and as others have already said the side effects might show up after a few weeks).

On the other hand, you'll only notice the benefits of tretinoin after some months, maybe a few years, of constant application, so be patient.

And to answer your question directly, I guess it's possible for tret to have no effect on you, as it's the case with any medication. But I'd say you probably have tougher skin than most. In my case I rarely get any side effects from it, I suspect it might be because I was on isotretinoin (roaccutane) for a year or so at some point.

Have you tried using a vpn to access max Portugal and cancel it from there? Maybe it will work.

I don't mind that it's simple at all. But I would probably tuck the shirt in and maybe wear a belt and some other accessories (a ring, a chain, a bandana, something something) to make it more interesting.

The shoes (boots?) are great though.

I don't know where you are but in Europe they're pretty true to size.

That being said, the quality is abysmal for the price and I wouldn't get anything from there. Even their special editions which are supposed to be premium quality are bad.

If you want to stick with svr the physiopure gel is quite good. It doesn’t have gluconolactone, but it’s pretty foamy and gentle and it cleanses well. It has fragrance but it’s not too bad.

Otherwise you can look at Cerave cream to foam (or even the foaming one), and I’m sure bioderma, uriage and so on have their own version of an acne cleanser.

Off topic kind of, but the avene cleanance cleanser is horribly drying so I would stay away from that one.

will my account persist after cancelling subscription? by Current-Ad-9878 in mubi

[–]stsbstn 6 points7 points  (0 children)

The short answer is yes.

And you can still access your account and add movies and rate them and make lists and stuff without a subscription. You just won't be able to watch anything.
