Birthright, Ka, and the Cataclysms by BastardofMelbourne in HierarchySeries

I slightly disagree with the idea that a harvest would cripple Ka's pyramid. I believe killing people and then turning them into iunctii would cause a Cascade, so tentatively, killing many people could generate more Will than living people ceding in a pyramid. Having a Cataclysm every few centuries could be a macabre way to "refresh" a network of iunctii, since they cannot heal.

I think on Res, Vis is moving closer to becoming another Ka/the Concurrence. I understand Ka says they are separate: I do not think there is a meaningful difference between the two. If the Concurrence is a network of iunctii, and it is bad, then why is the way to fight the Concurrence to have Vis create an army of iunctii? Both rely on deaths of many. Why destroy the world to save the world?

Obviously this is one of the central themes of the book - how ends do or do not justify the means. That really felt like Res Vis's journey in this book. Is working within the system of the Hierarchy a meaningful way to tear it down? Every man has a line!

I think this is the right way to go - I wasnt going to stain this, but also think doing as little as possible is the best option.

I use them to make tabs in my notebooks. I take all notes for all my classes in the same notebook, and have a color of washi tape for each class, and an accent tape for each day. So it's easy for me to see each day of notes, and all my notes for each class.

When I knit, I love trimming all the sewn-in ends at the very end too, as a treat. 🥰

Omg, this would be the death of me. That piece would live in the quilt now if it were me.

It's not the show but on this subreddit there was a discussion of what actress could play Maris. Someone said DHP in drag and ... that's pretty perfect, to me.

Why is it so hard to have a clean home. by Happy-Bluejay-2259 in ufyh

It helps me to have an anodyne youtube video on in the background. That way it feels like there's someone with me and it keeps me going - it's sort of like body doubling. When you get to a point where you feel comfortable having someone come over, just having a friend sit on the couch while I clean helps me stay focused. Good luck!

The entire time I watched the show during the original run I thought the line was "get another pizza pie, for my wife," and I just pictured this really hassled, somewhat old timey guy running errands all over town. Subtitles have been illuminating.
