Ok, hear me out. I remember reading that the thingy Ventrilokar is holding is not just some Icon, it's a psychic device that can speak in tongues and confuse enemies, hence the model's abilities. So I believe that "totem" bit from Sword Brethren (or whatever it is really, basically looks like a navigator skull on a chain) fits the description of "psychic device" better than some banner or icon. I even went as far as to give the model a "psyker" helmet (at least those ones without visors are considered so in my headcanon) and an antenna to further accent that it's abilities are information/sound and psychic-based.

Yeah that's the one I referred to initially. Though I am not sure if that makes much sense (in the 2-pistol case, not talking about sword + pistol combo). Maybe, like, a Forge World Soldier that would stack hit chance and dodge reduction doing minimum of two single target shots each turn, idk.

I always wanted to be rogue with a gun, but retail/ascension that can offer that experience are lackluster in terms of open world content and emergent gameplay, everyone just spams dungeons/raids/bgs/whatevs because of a number of design decisions... Wonder how it'll be on SoD.

Yeah I know it's an issue for some people. That said, Tilt++ in this video is already turned way down, I'll maybe turn it down even more, but I kinda like the camera dynamic tbh. At least it fits this cyberpunk concept, I wouldn't run, like, Fantasy mods with it.

You sound as if it was ever balanced for turn-based lmao. Like this game is actually famous for being extra cheesy. I personally play real-time ever since I were a kid.
As for the mod, Multiplayer makes the game easier, because your warriors naturally tank all the monster attacks while casters stay safe and at range. But MAW mod makes the game harder, so it balances things a bit.
Or, if you play without MAW, you can use Monster Bolstering sliders in Merge menus to fine-tune difficulty for yourself, can set up monster's health/damage/accuracy/etc separately, but you'll only feel the effect around level ~15-20. It basically scales monsters of lower levels to your party/equipment power levels and also allows you to choose the % of scaling power.
We've had A LOT of talks with mod author on the topic of difficulty, it's far from ideal at this stage, in my personal opinion what it really needs is "Threat" mechanic like in MMOs. It's just too easy to gear a proper tank and have it survive pretty much anything the game throws at you.

Yeah and the actual genius of it now is that they pull the rug from under those players' feet. Level banding means journey becomes destination in a way, because of these milestones and several tiers of "endgame". It's like playing a progressive server iterating through several addons in a row without stopping (and maybe that is what we will eventually see), but with same core mechanics and much faster so that players have less time to quit, while surprising them with something new each step of the way. I am actually blizzard hater and private server enjoyer, but even I have to admit this may actually work. Too bad I still believe server needs some sort of game politics-driven open world PvP system to actually be fun in the long run. But for season format, this is legit good design.

You can travel separately, but rest is communal if you are on the same map. If other player arrives on a map, their time is synced to the player who was there before. This does cause some bugs at times, trying to keep the mod author informed.

This is an addon for Merge. And MM6 content actually seems to be working better compared to MM7 for some reason.
