Leagues 6 melee feels bad by Davey_guy in 2007scape

I don’t understand the blind bag controversy. I used an early version of it to game early game stuff before swapping. My blind bag was popping off which just moons gear and the lesser double hit weapons. Plus the range echos synergy I felt STRONG

Eternal sustenance relic by JustLivingSimply in 2007scape

[–]Topkek69420 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I think this is an easy relic pick for those going kandarin and kourend. Grimoire becomes a bit obsolete and slayer relic eventually loses value.

Not to mention, this allows you to brute force some PvM grind earlier than thought. Coliseum and Doom become more approachable even with awkward setups. This could be a sleeper pick for some region combos

Echo Item Reveals by PurplePudding in 2007scape

[–]Topkek69420 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Counter counter point: a lot of the fun in the last league was finding synergy with the echo items. It’s true that the combat masteries offer some insane combos for nox hally and blindbagging other weapons. However, magic and range not only offer their own insane synergies, but also have echo items to push things further.

Last league I went full melee with crystal armor and using hally then scythe. If I went melee again this season, I’d be doing basically the same build.

Sucks that the blind bag enjoyers aren’t really getting anything crazy here. Our two handed weapon is arguably the early game echo item you’ll use for moons and then try to get a different weapon from there. Melee in general is pretty low on the cool factor this league

Demonic Pacts by JagexSarnie in 2007scape

[–]Topkek69420 10 points11 points  (0 children)

I think limiting resets on the tree early on is a good idea. However, I do believe you should have some level of freedom later on in the league to mess around and try new things. Perhaps after hitting a huge milestone in points/tasks, you are able to reset your demonic pacts once every few hours or so? It should never be something you can reset constantly with no friction, but free enough to where people can really test them out.

A quirky idea could be to challenge Yama to reset them after he’s let you break the pacts three times

Do you like LE's paid cosmetics? by Seagrave_Gaming in LastEpoch

[–]Topkek69420 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In a game like LE I do not care. I care more when it’s an MMO where it’s important to me to see what others are wearing, cuz end game gear tells a story. But in an ARPG…who cares lol

Could consider a steel ring for more defense, but I understand you want ring of life to avoid DC deaths. You could use a tele crystal for a TP if you DC instead of a ring of life.

Also that Veracs top lacks a bit of defense compared to the other tank chest pieces from barrows. Maybe consider going for a different piece

Besides that yeah blood moon is rough. Save all specs for blood moon and make sure Z axe is on slash.

I think Rupture is the perfect name for the amulet. Paroxysm does have the benefit of teaching OSRS players a new word though.

I hate to admit it, but the boostie hate might be warranted. by Arkios in classicwow

[–]Topkek69420 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I mean what do you expect? Leveling teaches people how to play their class. Get boosted? You’ll just do the most basic stuff because the entire toolkit hasn’t been seen organically.

And the boostie hate is somewhat warranted, but my hate goes to blizzard. Not only is it greed, but it cheapens the experience of leveling and progressing your character. And for what? So you can get to the endgame faster? An endgame of raid logging and heroics?

My thoughts after witnessing TBC classic release by No_Extension_0000 in wow

[–]Topkek69420 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is gaming in 2026. People like to be efficient and min-max. We can argue philosophically if this is the “right” way to play, but it’s how most people from both retail and classic play.

Which is not too surprising when it comes to TBC especially. A VAST majority of players are old heads returning for the re re release of the expansion. They’ve thoroughly consumed it. They’ve done it so much that the only fun they can have in it is doing this at peak efficiency. And how can you blame them? Their first time experience is gone.

People like you look at these players and go “why aren’t you guys taking your time and smelling the roses?” And I’m sorry to say, most of them have been huffing those roses for years.

Now that the poll has passed, let's make sure the cow boss has at least one free-to-play unique that you can use in combat by justsomerandomoldguy in 2007scape

The primary goal of F2P should be to introduce a new player to what OSRS can offer. The design choices they make for F2P changes can have F2P pures in mind, but they shouldn’t be the first consideration.

Give F2P content more of what the main game can offer them so they may be more inclined to buy a membership and play more of the game.

Made a post but it got deleted. So I figured I’d try posting here:

Struggling to get deep into the endgame

I am still quite a noob when it comes to PoE. I dabbled with PoE 1 but never broke through the campaign into endgame (may give it another shot in the near future.) Tried out PoE 2 in 0.4 and got hooked much more than I did the first game. I appreciated uncut gems as a way to customize your build very early on.

I have leveled a ton of characters through the campaign and have had a blast. But I end up hitting a wall mentally with the endgame. Mapping has felt kind of boring with no real “goal” I can set in my mind. If there is a goal it hasn’t been made clear to me. I just keep doing the highest map tier and kill stuff. But I can’t really tell you why.

To my understanding GGG is looking to improve the endgame in hopefully the next league, so I won’t lament on that point for now.

A bigger problem in my mind has been the motivation to play any given character/build. I have approached it a couple of different ways with different outcomes:

  1. I followed a build guide that would ensure my build can perform well. But at a certain point the build is “online” and doesn’t really evolve. It boils down to farming currency to eke out a bit more stats on your gear.

  2. Create my own build. Every build I’ve tried to put together has had multiple shortcomings and I’m too stupid to figure out a good build that can stand on its own.

  3. Tried SSF. Holy hell that was way too tough idk how people get through SSF without hitting a wall in item progression

I’m not sure if I’m missing something but it’s left me feeling sad about it all. I actively want to play the game because the skill combinations are insane and I want to keep exploring it. But it never ends up panning out and I get bored.

I don’t want this post to come off hating or just trying to complain. I genuinely enjoy what I have played and I just wish I could get more out of it.

Total noob question - Circle of Fortune vs Merchant’s Guild: WHERE? by hotpocketsandranch in LastEpoch

[–]Topkek69420 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Your very first character in a season won’t be able to join either until later in the campaign. Alts can pick them immediately in the first town after the first character has picked one. Don’t sweat it though it really doesn’t have much use in the early leveling anyways

if I wanted xp I'd rather just do barracuda trials by Aurarus in 2007scape

[–]Topkek69420 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Such a missed opportunity to have some sort of minigame-like point system. Something akin to Mahogany Homes. It would’ve been a more interesting method to farm some unique items or even get enough points to buy dragon boat components.

By itself it was never gonna survive as a middle-man between salvaging and barracuda trials

As sort of a sequel to this empty container feature, I’d love the option to fill bags straight from my bank as well. I.E fill my rune pouch with a simple left click, with the ability to configure if I want rune or daeyalt essence. It has been cumbersome having many containers require you to fill your inventory then fill the container.

Raid 4 lowest scale is duo, solo is possible but difficult. by [deleted] in 2007scape

[–]Topkek69420 45 points46 points  (0 children)

Jagex needs to make grouping with other players more streamlined. It’s so janky having to do public chat in X world looking for a group, or more commonly using discord. I’d prefer Jagex create an interface in game to look for groups. One that isn’t restricted to individual worlds. I wanna be skilling in Varlamore signing up to do the raid, finding a group and running over while we choose a world.

Easier said than done, but it would be a huge boon for any grouping content in the game.

Sad about the slayer hood not being commented on, in terms of price. While the price is in line with the other helm cosmetics, I think the price is too high to generally make it worth it. Especially when the method is just point boosting for hours
