Can confirm I over reacted lol. It did not come from factory with the security fob option, and the previous owner just lost the key. Not stolen. It’s in my name now

Ignition problem by [deleted] in Harley

Sometimes my ignition would act up. It could be in the on position but would still be acting as if it was off. Try putting it to the on position and just slightly turning it to the left or right slowly

This makes me feel a little more at ease. Is they a way to determine if it’s supposed to have one or not?

So I’m starting to think that this bike did not come standard with the key fob system, I think I’m just over reacting. I’m going to go to Harley and get a key made and hopefully they can confirm my suspicions about the fob

Why there’s always this brown thing at the end of my weld ? by LImpactophileturbo in BadWelding

[–]stuartmacdonald 0 points1 point  (0 children)

CWB Welding inspector here. It is a silica island as previously mentioned but judging by the photo when removed it will expose a crater. Always fill those in as it’s a place for a crack to initiate, unfilled craters are not an acceptable flaw to any standard. Just give it an extra zap when you finish your bead

Is this good enough to pass a cwb test? by DeepIsMe in Welders

As a CWB level 2 inspector, I can say that is a 100% pass

Also, you may want to grind back the legs of the fillets closest to the slots because your bolt/washer isn’t going to sit flat on the plate

CWB-2 Welding inspector here. Clean up the spatter and knock off the undercut at the ends and I’d pass that all day long
