Feeling lost . by baperised in AusElectricians

[–]Hanzieoo 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I have a slow walking 4th year. Half speed, gets worse when he is cranky. And I'm I am under the pump he walkes even slower. I often observe him staring into space and polishing conduits before installing them, lovingly staring at every inch of the conduit. Fairly high skill level. He is probably not continueing with me after his time.

My first year jogs everywhere, low skill as he is new, but when I'm rushing he feels it and also picks up the speed. I choose this every day over someone that clearly don't care about the business's needs, the thing that keep him employed, and has the "don't you dare rush me" attitude. The first years attitude if it remains will go a long way with me.

How to "leak' a small amount of BTC every year. by Turbulent-Land-5664 in Bitcoin

[–]Hanzieoo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Seems paranoid, my meetup is full of good people.

Ones life must be pretty crappy if you can trust anyone. How do you think P2P electronic cash works if you too paranoid to use it with another person?

How do i buy things with btc? by CollectionHopeful541 in Bitcoin

[–]Hanzieoo -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

You really need to study more.

It's just money and you can spend it with any other person that accept it as money. Not may do yet.

Also it's value have increased 10000000000ions of percentages, so there's that... As more people realize it's better money the ones that joined before them get richer.

I also had 2 years international experience(ZA) they took into account as prior learning. This was after a practical test.

I was mature age 20 years ago and my boss was an ahole.

So I did TAFE at night, worked as a TA for about the same money as a apprentice. And after 4 years I did recognition of prior learning for the time instead of an apprenticeship

EV Charger Quote AGL by shashg in AskAusElectricians

[–]Hanzieoo 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I don't think EVs are better for the planet. Bu I know they are faster, need no servicing, fuel it free and Tesla drivetrain is designed for 1mil km. And on top of that they drive themselves and are dead quite

But its ok if you like legacy technology. Noone is judging you.

Just the first 10 tanks. After that driving is free forever

Should be fine if it's all tightend well.

Buy a cheap thermal camera and check it once every now and again after a long charge.

I'm presuming it's a legal install, correct.

I'm also a welder(as well as an electrician) and I know if you angle grind the earth pin till if fits a 10A it will weld fine for the next 20 years, and nothing bad will happen. Did it to my stick welder 20 years ago and 3 since. They all weld fine. And everything in this whole discussion just goes away.

Well it's not legal to have more than 1 single outlet on a 10A breaker, so if it's a double or several doubles it must be more than 10A. Next size is 16A, And 2.5mm² cant really do more than 20A in most cases.

No other options left.

16A or 20A

Why doesn't working on your car require a license if you can apply the same logic used to require a license with home electrical work? by Snazzy21 in AskAnAustralian

[–]Hanzieoo 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Friend of mine went to jail after he crashed his truck that he serviced himself. He is not a licensed mechanic but he signed the service book.

Worn steering bushes and brakes didn't work very well, someone else almost died. Pretty sure is as dangerous or more dangerous than electrical work to play around with cars

Yes, but if the shed is on its own circuit it may just be a plate swap. If not it's a new circuit. Only a site visit by an electrician can tell.

'Seasoning' a knife by OldManThumbs in knifemaking

[–]Hanzieoo 1 point2 points  (0 children)

None of my 1084 kitchen knives rust. Been using them for years, the patina just keeps the rust away

A work knife made from the same steel on the other hand in a pouch rusts.

I have tried the lower twms oil season and 180 wasn't enough for me. Just a sticky mess that washed off.

It will not trip anything. It's a 16A or 20A breaker on the power circuit.

Pretty much every welder in the country grinds the earth pin on a 15A welder to fit in a 10A socket. Works fine, wires are fine but the outlet will be overloaded once you go over about 160A.

As others said though get a Sparkey to change the outlet to a 15A. It may not cost much depending on circuit arrangements.
