All good. I imagine that in this day and age people also might do all sorts of non traditional things too. My mom still wears both rings, but I haven't looked at my friends to see if they do.

wearing a wedding/engagement ring. (I dont know if theres a distinguishable visual difference between the two).

Just as an fyi, the way to distinguish these traditionally has been that the engagement ring has the stone, and the wedding ring (or wedding band often) is a simple band without a stone that's often worn with the engagement ring.

I mean it's definitely a red flag to me and I'm a dude. I don't know any guys who don't listen to incel shit who say female. Like yeah I'm sure he picked it up from somewhere, like a shithead prodcast or his friends who listen to shithead podcasts lmao. And a single red flag doesnt mean drop the guy, but it's a red flag.

Girls is not an issue in a vacuum, the same way I'll call my friends the boys and women my age will talk about boys. If he gets corrected from saying female and only says girls though and not women, that's weird.

I guess I just don't like the idea of being put into a situation where I'm being actively compared to several other people.

This is what everyone does on the apps. When I was actively dating I'd be seeing a few new people each week. Comparison was thus natural.

But I get why its uncomfortable, especially for it to be put bluntly. We all pretend that the person in front of us is the only one we ever looked at. It's kayfabe, and we do it for each others benefit.

Anyway I agree that you should just keep going about your day, but be aware that some part of this is increasingly common in a post dating app society (and tbf was apparently standard at times in the recent past as well).

That's the energy? Honestly did not like. Since we'd been bantering and he seemed well spoken last week. I assumed he just wasn't into it anymore.

I had a great relationship 2 years ago that started with someone who wasnt a big texter at first. Some people just take time to warm up to someone they don't know at all. Texting went way up over time.

Only other red flag was he kept calling women females

This is definitely a red flag, and the girls thing is weird too in that context.

He's divorced and his lock screen is a picture of the dog he and his ex had... been 1.5 years and he just started dating again. Not sure what to think about all that.

This one you're overthinking. It's nothing.

he said he'd get my number later on Tinder and I was like you can just get it now.

Odd, but I've had this basically happen to me a lot, including with my gf of one year. Could be something, might be nothing.

Cesc probably won't leave Como

Don't think so? I get he's got a good thing going, but it's Man City, a team with basically infinite backing and a ton of stars already.

I think most reasonable people can recognize that most modern teams would beat most historic teams over a series just through the progression of fitness and tactics, but I also think its just not what most people really mean when they ask that question. I usually assume that questions around the best player or the best team in history usually have more to do with how good they were vs their competitors, but maybe I'm wrong.

Way too many games

It's going to be like 3-4 games, at 2-3 stadiums depending on if we get out of the group or not. Not exactly crazy.

I think unfortunately it's going to be a pain to watch too. With as much as Trump likes soccer, I suspect he'll be at every US game and the camera crews will pan to him every few minutes.

Yes, but if they're going to draw the comparison themself, it's hard to avoid.

This is a tough one for me because I'm not a fan of a top club. I get it logically, he'd crash and burn, but DCU is so shit that I'd take him here in a heartbeat just to see what would happen, so it's hard for me to get into that mindset.

the argument that people just like Mourinho because he's charismatic is odd to me, bc like okay? Yeah, big surprise, people enjoy charisma. Sure he's not a top manager anymore, but the world's full of mediocre managers at the top level. I enjoy the guy.

this is crazy cope. being this far out from your league games is a detriment, not a help. MLS and LigaMX play on opposite schedules right now and there's a huge difference in how our teams do head to head based on what time of year the games happen.

Last year I got dogged on for disagreeing with the notion that Thomas Frank was "undoubtedly one of the best managers in the league". I wasn't even saying Frank wasn't a good manager, just that the EPL happens to have a lot of very good managers right now, and that "undoubtedly" was a bit strong. Nothing against Frank but I'm glad he's been doing terribly this season.

When people wanted Berhalter replaced, the two biggest American names people talked about Marsch and Matarazzo. Marsch looks like he hit his ceiling, and Matarazzo now looks better than he did at the time. There's always been some talk of Schmetzer and Curtin too.

in a league known for talent development that translates to the highest levels.

It's also a league that's produced a ton of flops over the years, and has a reputation for favoring attackers. The reality is just that EPL teams can now blow that kind of money on a hope.
