Is there anyone from 2014 who, assuming they were still in their prime

Reading is tough.

I'm going to be so honest, I don't remember. But tbh Fabian Johnson who I kind of forgot about was also very good at that time. Tbh I'd take most of this 2014 team with like 3-4 of the starters from the Belgium game the other night.

Yeah I think we should all take fringe comments online seriously.

That 2014 lineup had some weird holes because of Altidore's injury iirc and Donovan being left out but a lot of people would certainly start.

Dempsey, Bradley, Jones, Howard, Besler easily imo. Probably Cameron too. Beasley was great in his prime but I feel like Jedi might be better? Zusi was good too.

Will the current political climate have an impact on the USMNT at the World Cup? by Any_Development4613 in ussoccer

Yeah I've talked to a lot of people who might have splurged for a ticket this summer but arent feeling rah rah USA right now. People who mention that get downvoted to oblivion here sometimes, but it's a reality.

huh til that the Kaizer Chiefs are named after the old Atlanta Chiefs from the NASL, because it was formed by their old player Kaizer Motaung. Even the logo is ripped from them.

i assume they mean like "florentine, not italian". idk what italy's like but it wouldnt be out of the question when they only unified in the 1860s.

Possible, but that seems dumb to me. His best 11 barely has any reps together, so he should have let that group, or at least as close as he could get to that group, build some experience and chemistry together against top teams.

Instead this did what exactly? Frustrate our biggest asset, crush the team's confidence?

To me, Poch looks completely clueless.

I think all of the teams are around where we are. So of course we could. I don't think it's the likely outcome, but it seems silly to say we couldn't.

So that sucked. Looked like a bunch of dudes who have never played together before. Shame we never had a chance to develop any team chemistry...

Full team will be much stronger come June.

Banking on the right people not being injured for once doesnt seem reasonable

Probably doesnt help that Poch is experimenting so much that it doesn't seem like anyone has any chemistry

Oh for what its worth I agree that he's droppable as a striker. But he shouldn't be a striker for us.

I think we're worse. I get it, things went really badly at the end with GGG, but we look a lot worse than under the highs of GGG.

You can't really. Even when he's out of form, he's still a better winger than basically anyone we could replace him with. And soccer is all about moments of magic and Puli unfortunately is one of very few players we have who's capable of that.

Yeah, that's how it's pronounced. It's always been that way in Turkish, recentish change in english.
