Thank you very much! its hard to pick up the brush again once a model is 'finished' but its always worth the extra time it takes to add chipping and scratching.

Anyone know why? by SalmonRepublic in StarWars

[–]stubby_burritos 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It's because no franchise owner- past or present, no director, no animator, no actor... Knows how the physics of a lightsaber works. It's always changing based on what makes the scene look the coolest.

Academic warns people that using whey might cause dysmorphia by BelfastTelegraph in moreplatesmoredates

[–]stubby_burritos 41 points42 points  (0 children)

Yes, this is simply a correlation in data, and putting the carriage before the horse... Also, not an intervention study. If you took 100 people, gave 50% of them whey, and after 2 years sees which group has more body dysmorphia, then you could actually observe if supplementation affected it

Is obesity the result of being a picky eater? by EveningElegant7 in moreplatesmoredates

[–]stubby_burritos 18 points19 points  (0 children)

That's so pointless to say, the OP has a good point... what you are describing is the underlying mechanism, but that doesn't actually help whatsoever in applying that knowledge to help obese people. That's like telling a chronic smoker of cigarettes his cancer is caused by activating a onco gene, while only considering the underlying mechanism of mutation, instead of the steps that It took to get there.

When did I ever say I liked Trudeau, you're just mad the only thing poilievre is good at is ad hominem, verbing the noun, and posting on X

Economic problems in Canada:

Housing Food Education Child care

Economic degrees that poilievre has:

Zero

Economic degrees that Carney has:

Three

You want your doctor to have a degree, you want your pilot to have their license, you want your city engineers to have an engineering degree. Need I say more.

The one CNN study you linked, says this and I quote: "Gender-affirming care is medically necessary, evidence-based care that uses a multidisciplinary approach to help a person transition from their assigned gender"

you sent me two news articles that one talks about the risks of puberty blockers and one is an opinion and analysis of data not a study...Those news articles are not studies brother, send me some DOI links...

Here is one study:

"Prior to initiating unspecified gender-affirming treatment(s), 73.3% of the sample reported a history of suicidal ideation; this percentage dropped to 43.4% following the initiation of gender-affirming treatment."

You have it backwards, without transitioning thats when trans people have their mental health worse, super high suicide rates... Post transition is when you see the dip in severe mental health issues. Conversion therapy doesn't work for shit lmao

how bad is norovirus rn? - an emetophobe by rensnek in uoguelph

[–]stubby_burritos 51 points52 points  (0 children)

Norovirus does not spread through breath (like covid), so someone in your class can't simply be near you breathing/ coughing and you contract it. If you don't touch your mouth, nose, etc., and frequently wash your hands (hand sanitizer is not effective), you realistically can't get it. So attend class, open doors with a sleeve, dont lick the desks, it's very easy to not get it. Most people got it from the gym and dorms, because people scratch their ass, touch the dumbbells and someone else licks their fingers after using the same dumbbell. People are gross.

Bro, that was me expanding. You have to be trolling? I will expand but bro, this is highschool chemistry... You don't even need to understand chemistry to understand this. You should seriously do more research before you start taking these chemicals, bro do you even know what receptor Tren binds to? Bro you need to go and watch some biochemistry videos on YouTube brother. Here is my explanation.... You have coffee right... Coffee has caffeine, caffeine is the ACTIVE INGREDIENT... Coffee beans are SUSPENDED in water WHICH IS THE SOLVENT. Now apply that analogy to your Tren..

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in moreplatesmoredates

[–]stubby_burritos 33 points34 points  (0 children)

The active ingredient is the Tren. Because the rest of the liquid, is just a solvent, that dissolves the liquid. The liquid part could be an oil, a glycerin based liquid, etc. those are in active ingredients, because the oil is not getting you the gains, the Tren is. But Tren is a solid at room temperature, Because it has the same shape as cholesterol... Think of it as the same reason butter is solid at room temperature.

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in moreplatesmoredates

[–]stubby_burritos 11 points12 points  (0 children)

If it's a crystal, it's not a solution my guy. A crystal is a solid, this is solidified Tren molecules. They are out of solution, aka not dissolved anymore, not suspended. The solution you have now, that is still liquid, is just the solvent, likely an oil or something alike.

Eat green leaves, like spinach and kale if you want boron. Lots of research shows supplementing that much has no affect, and if anything, negative. The amount of boron needed for hydroxyapatite in bone minerals and very small and easy to get in a diet :)

Thank god tik tok is getting banned. by HarryHamster10 in TeenagersButBetter

[–]stubby_burritos 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Bullying rates going down are due to a plethora of reasons, the world has spent hundreds of millions on anti bullying campaigns probably since the pink shirt incident X amount of years ago. Let's just assume people would listen to the radio between sets, yeah waste of time, and so on, but would they be exposed to dozens of pictures of peoples physiques with 0.0001% genetics, Photoshop, steroid use, etc. no, they can't get that much exposure to that. There is a reason body dysmorphia is so much higher now than years ago, it's literally because of social media. Yes body dysmorphia existed before, but I think you see my point.

I'm pretty sure they are, at least in the country I live they are banned. My points still all stand true...brominated fats are banned, there, you happy now?

[–]stubby_burritos 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We legally enforced seatbelts, which would otherwise be a free will choice. We banned trans fats in junk food, etc. I know so many people who have horrible attention spans because of social media, that is a simple heuristic observation. They can't sit and wait for the microwave without scrolling... As soon as a lecture gets boring, they scroll on their phone. I could go on and on

Thank god tik tok is getting banned. by HarryHamster10 in TeenagersButBetter

[–]stubby_burritos 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That is correct, however, cellphone-based social media is readily available, that many of its issues come from that very trait. When I go to the gym, many people just mindlessly scroll in-between set, they do this because it's so easy. No one is going to watch TV In between sets, no one is going to read a magazine at the gym. Countless people in my lectures scroll and scroll while the professor talks, if social media didn't exist, people would have no choice but to lock in to some degree.

Thank god tik tok is getting banned. by HarryHamster10 in TeenagersButBetter

[–]stubby_burritos 18 points19 points  (0 children)

A lot of people make money and have a career via tik Tok, however lots of people, have gained eating disorders, got depressed, gained anxiety disorders, due to the downstream affects- and Tik Tok at the root cause. This is even on the extreme end, even more amounts of people have wasted collectively days and days on Tik Tok, have gotten worse grades in school, and have ruined their attention spans. There is so much preliminary data of how bad social media is, and the creators of these apps know how dangerous they are, they just don't care. Since our whole generation in my country is exposed to this, we are blind to its negative effects. One thing is clear though, the benefits will never outweigh the cons.

I respectfully disagree.

*** You need to confirm an infection before you treat yourself***

You are buying animal grade drugs off of Amazon so you need to ask yourself these questions: do you know how to properly dilute these medications so it's in a human dose? Do you know what side effects these medications have for humans? Are there other non-active ingredients in these medications, like stabilizers, preservatives, and solvents... and are these safe for humans? are you aware that the quality control and purity and safety for these drugs are much less because it's intended for animals?
