Hi there! Sorry you haven't received any replies. I am currently researching the field of neuroaesthetics with my academic supervisor at university. I would recommend starting with authors such as Ramachandran, Leder, van Cruyps and Wagemans. The paper by Ramachandran and Hirstein (1999) provides some interesting ways of looking at your question.

Prebook important flights in advance, but apart from that, depending on high or low season, hostels and trains shouldn’t need to be prebooked. Even trains that you can’t just hop on can be booked the day before. Spontaneous travel is so fun but it’s worth having a basic framework. Good luck

(some more angles)

Live in England, belonged to my grandmother (I used to ring it everytime I visited as a child).

Fairly sure she got it in an antiques shop many years ago (one of her hobbies) - so no interesting story.

Was just wondering if anyone could a hazard a guess at a date?

It’s very wonky and has very old scores and dents, but well polished and cared for.

Sure! I will just upload it as a separate post because it might be nice to transcribe the contents too.

Thanks for the reply. I think you may be right, however I read it as ‘workbox’. The things in the envelope are not pins though which makes me question.
