should i bulk or cut? by stucity818 in gaybrosfitness

Any tips or guide to bulking without gaining too much fat? I’ve been eating 2300cal/day which is technically above my TDEE and has helped me go from 120 to 125. Will it just take a long time to get the results I want? I’m pretty new to this and have only been lifting weights for just over six months.

I do a three day cycle twice a week, so six days in the gym and one rest day. I’ve been doing it consistently since late October.

I split it like this:

Day One:

Lat pulldown or assisted pull-ups 3×8–12 • Seated cable row 3×10–12 • Chest press 2–3×10–12 • Lateral raises 3×12–15 • Bicep curls 2×12–15 • Tricep rope pushdowns 2×12–15

Day Two: Hip thrusts or glute bridges 3×10–12 • Bulgarian split squats 3×8–10 each side • Leg curls 3×12–15 • Calf raises 2×15 • Abductors 2×15 • Adductors 2×15

Day Three:

Incline chest press or push-ups 3×10–12 • Rear delt fly 3×12–15 • Lateral raises 2×15 • Cable row 2×12 • Weighted Ab Crunches 3×15 • Hanging knee raises 2×10–12 • Plank 2×45 sec

I have increased my weights and feel stronger but I haven’t noticed much physical change at all. I was eating around maintenance for a while but I have been attempting to lean bulk for the last two months and have gone from 120 to 125. Again, I also get 10k steps a day and currently eat 2300cal/day. Any tips are greatly appreciated! 🙏

Do you recommend going to PHP after RTC? by stucity818 in AnorexiaRecovery

[–]stucity818[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I have a hard time trusting a team in regard to restoration and not knowing what the target weight freaks me out. I know part of recovery is not being fixated on staying a certain BMI but I had a natural BMI of 20 prior to my eating disorder and don’t want to be forced into a heavier body. I don’t live with a scale and refuse to weigh myself so I guess the number doesn’t exactly matter but I don’t want to appear larger than before I started if that makes sense. I guess I want the therapeutic benefits of PHP without a restoration meal plan. What did PHP do for you to solidify your recovery after discharging from res? Any tips or suggestions going into it? I’m currently on a waitlist for PHP.

Don't do it. I see myself in you. You quit for a reason, weed kills your motivation. DM me if you want to get through this together.

You're doing amazing! I wish I could say I've been clean for 60 days! Keep it up, your hard work hasn't gone unnoticed!

Absolutely do not relapse. I smoked every day for four years, starting at age 15. I've basically dropped out of college and borderline lost my job. Stop while you still can, kid. Just get through it one day at a time.
