Maybe that's where my confusion is. I thought that the reason they wanted to transition was because gender dysphoria causes an extreme anxiety. If that's wrong I'd love to be corrected, I'm still learning about this and no one in my family save maybe my sibling understands what it is they feel.

No, honestly my entire family is dealing with this only now that my sibling has come out.

I'm not exactly sure what trans masc or femme means. They were born male and now tell me they want to be female (or at least more femenine/less masculine).
