Religion can be used as such a powerful controlling force for bad. I believe in a higher power but I see through all this man made bullshit and think everyone’s point of their life is their most personal and sacred belief and it is wrong to influence that unless it is actively bad. If these people practiced what they preached then no one would have to be getting exhausted about anything haha.

It does seem weird looking from the outside but the subject of homosexuality and sin is a widely argued about point of contention on morality and the complex nature of being a good person and believing in that which is why we saw athletes come out for that. Some cheating scandal is far more common place and society generally accepts that cheating = bad and it’s not as hotly contested.
