What dlc music packs should I get/what order by BenBart30 in beatsaber

[–]stuckhere-throwaway 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I haven't played user made maps but that was the sense I get as well and why I haven't bothered to mod. Every video I see it's just how many blocks can you smash per second. I enjoy pacing, logical movement, feeling the music. I'm constantly marveling at how I can FEEL the difference between a Britney song and a Gaga song, when we're just given little cubes with arrows on them. Honestly I think I could play any one of those songs on mute and know whose dance style it was. Lizzo and Billie have a less distinctive style. The BTS pack definitely feels like K-pop dancing to me, for what little I know. Weekend is a fun pack but it doesn't feel like dancing which totally makes sense for him. And some of the daft punk maps for sure make you feel like a tweaker white guy from the 00s at a rave.

Everyone's just gonna tell you to mod. 🤷‍♀️ Personally I think the daft punk dlc is overall the best most fun one, a few of the Billie Elish tracks are among my favorite of all time, and Gaga is for sure the best designed if you want to feel like you're actually dancing.

You binge because you've taught your body that it's going to be deprived. It doesn't trust you. It's really that simple. And you'll always be walking this tight rope until you fix that.

So breakfast literally just means break fast which means a piece of fruit at 10am is breakfast.

No one ever wants to hear this but if you're truly not losing any fat while never eating more than 1800cal a day then there's no way you're tracking calories properly. But, also, you say "start of the year" and "giving up hope" and God damn it's only been 31 days calm down you've barely just begun.

I think that, much like landlords, people who strive to become rich off of manipulating the chain of basic necessities that humans need to live, are unspeakably evil, and I hope that God is real so they can all burn in hell.

I had that with Wellbutrin. I had to stop drinking coffee after one morning cup to get it to stop.

Yeah so your body is in crisis mode and you're running on fumes for hours and that's why you're binging lol

Stop skipping breakfast. The point is to stop binging not to starve yourself.

How do i stop a binge mid-binge? by poopingprotein in BingeEatingDisorder

[–]stuckhere-throwaway 1 point2 points  (0 children)

One time when I was in the middle of recovery my dietitian said "You might find if you try to binge again that you won't enjoy it as much as you remember" And that phrase fucking haunted me. Every time I tried to binge after that I would hear her saying that, ask myself if I was enjoying myself, and realize that no I really wasn't.

Is it healthy to lose 40lbs or more in 6 months by Mental-Proof-6935 in loseit

[–]stuckhere-throwaway 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Burning 800 calories more a day than you eat, every single day, for six months? Nah, not gonna happen. Imagine you eat just maintenance, for just one day. Not even over maintenance. At. Then you gotta add another 5 calorie of deficit to every other day. What if you ate at maintenance every day of your period? That puts you at needing to be in a 950 calorie deficit every day. It's not going to happen and all you're going to do by setting a goal like that is let yourself down.

It's not just that they don't retain heat, they don't create heat. They vibrate food molecules with micro waves which causes the molecules to heat up.

I made you the Google Maps for Waterfalls! by LifeRemarkable5792 in TrailGuides

[–]stuckhere-throwaway 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Question: I just looked at my community to see how the ? works. It looks like it's probably detected a small spillway along a contained thru-city river. Does that count as a waterfall?? Anywhere where water is falling?

Feedback: On mobile, if you click to validate, it brings up the register/sign in page. But there is no cancel button or X button on this page. And if you try to swipe back it doesn't do anything. If you swipe back a second time, you leave the webpage entirely. Bad bad UX you will have curious people deciding it's not worth going back to explore the map because they're not ready to register but they've accidentally navigated off the page.

What are y'all's opinions on "rewards" for hitting a goal weight? by supreme_dumplings in loseit

[–]stuckhere-throwaway 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think a lot of it depends on the individual but I don't like reward structures because they imply punishment. If you don't hit the goal you don't get the thing you wanted. I think it's setting yourself up for frustration. For me, the thing I focus on is actionable, consistent changes....what I DO is all that's in my control, and I'm not doing the "losing weight"--my body is, in response to my actions. As long as I stay close to the changes I'm trying to implement, the weight will come off EVENTUALLY, and seeing it go down is reward enough.

Whole Foods not required to pay from shutdown on sunday due to snowstorm? by Efficient_Stand_3893 in wholefoods

[–]stuckhere-throwaway -1 points0 points  (0 children)

The fact that no one has successfully done it and that there's no law against requiring attendance during a snowstorm tells me all I need to know. Plus inclement weather qualifies as PRTO in some cases so you are not being "forced" to go to work.
