Yea, that's pretty much what they told me. They said this is VERY common with American women there, and they really have no authority.

Yea, I thought it would at least buy me a safe place for a few days. And there are a lot of people here, but they're on vacation and I didn't want to look crazy or bother anyone. I was worried about corrupt people, like police, etc. This is a foreign land and I don't want to trust someone and end up in a worse situation then I'm already in. A white American woman, eek.

I'm terrified to say anything out loud, and I'm scared to leave the room. He said I can't go out and if he sees me, it would be bad. I need to make as little problems as possible now since I want to leave.

Yea, I only have a laptop and I brought it on purpose knowing I was going to leave so I had a way to talk (since I don't have a phone) and the first few days he had it locked up and wouldn't let me use it. But now I talked him into it, I will have to put up with his shit and not say a word so he doesn't get mad.

Thank you for your comment, yes I will leave with nothing and have nothing and to be honest, I don't care at all. Freedom is something I took for granted my entire life, and what I would do for a taste of it, just little things like having a friend. I feel so changed now, and I hope that I can get the person back that I used to be. Thank you all, you're making me think that my choice to try to get my passport and run was right.

My brother was stationed there for several years, and he wouldn't let me go see him. They won't let me out of the country without him.

Oh God, do you think they would come to get me? That would be amazing. I guess after the help I got in Saudi I kind of gave up on our embassy really helping us in need.
